Mystery Science Theatre -3000

Welcome to Cerealia's latest attraction. In an effort to branch into other forms of entertainment, CERES has been slowly patching together films from various worlds to show in its brand new movie theater. So, grab a friend, sit back, and enjoy the newest batch of imported films with a nice bucket of popcorn. As you'll notice from the long line outside, it's the latest rage in the colony, and those tired of the same virtual battles in ViViD are eager to enjoy a little change in scenery.

For those eager to participate, you will find yourself being lead into the lobby by one of the many robotic theater employees. Showing today are five special films, and in the lobbies are various screens advertising them through the movie's digital avatar, Mnemosyne. Allow her to take you on a virtual tour of CERES' finest theatrical offerings.

(( P.S. no actual actors/actresses appear in any of the films. It's all done through advanced CGi-technology and voice acting. ))
"GOOD EVENING, MOVIE-GOERS. I AM MNEMOSYNE, YOUR GUIDE FOR THIS EVENING.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE HAVE SEVERAL CONCESSIONS FOR YOU. PLEASE PARTAKE IN THE CONCESSIONS, BUT DO NOT MAKE A MESS. THE THEATER ROBOTS HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO TAKE ACTION FOR LITTERING.

TONIGHT'S FILMS ARE THE MUCH LAUDED AND CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED FILMS HAND-PICKED BY JULIUS VINCERE:

MY PETITE EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE RATED A

LARGE ADVENTURER 7 RATED B

THE RETALIATORS: ERA OF RADICALON RATED C

DECEASE HARDER II RATED D

YARD-DOOR PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALS RATED Z

PLEASE MAKE YOUR SELECTION AT THE BOOTHS IN THE FRONT OF THE LOBBY THEN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO THE APPROPRIATE THEATER. THANK YOU AND ENJOY YOUR EVENING."

THEATER I
[ 00:00 ] MY PETITE EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE - RATED A

Advertised as a delightful tale of ponies discovering magic and friendship, this is a must-see! For adults that is. The ponies are killed within the first ten minutes, and then the rest of the run time is filled with a celebratory orgy of Roman-esque proportions. There are no mentions of ponies after the initial scene. They are neither seen nor mourned nor heard from. There are only naked, gyrating bodies as far as the eye can see.

If you manage to sit through the horror long enough, you will notice a certain something in between the moaning. Is that your face on one of the protags? Is it a beloved family member or a friend? You will find that spliced between the scenes are cherished and innocent childish memories now being soiled by passionate cries of pleasure. Enjoy the new memory, your poor, sweet summer child. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER II
[ 00:00 ] LARGE ADVENTURER 7 - RATED B

A touching tale of dealing with loss and more loss. This film is about a giant robot and his pet human that gets eradicated in the Third Robotic Genocide, leaving behind just a human carcass. The giant robot clings to the carcass and cries robotic tears until finally he chucks the carcass into a river full of carcasses and decides to go on a deep quest in search of cheese.

But spliced between this tale of woe, viewers will see images of themselves caught in a romantic memory. A first kiss, perhaps? A first love-making session? A first crush? A desired one will also have their face molded on top of all the carcasses as they flow away. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

THEATER III
[ 00:00 ] THE RETALIATORS: ERA OF RADICALON - RATED C

Agent Dick Angry takes it upon himself to assemble a team of miscreant aliens to invade the hell out of "Planet Earth." The aliens include Zorn, an intelligent toaster; Crisis, a blue-skinned beauty that turns purple when she's aroused; Trish, a rogue miniature ficus with a criminal record; and General Cerealia, a handsome, ripped man who beats evil-doers with his laptop and who looks suspiciously like CERES' programmer, Elias.

This adventurous romp will feature the tragic memories of death interweaving with the destruction of the "Planet Earth." Those who attend will see first-hand the memories of their own worlds slowly being demolished before their eyes and all their loved ones screaming in agony. Then it'll loop itself again and again for the last hour of the film. Enjoy! This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER IV
[ 00:00 ] DECEASE HARDER II - RATED D

Jack McJack is a cop who is having none of your shit. In this action film, he will ride around on a velociraptor and go around punching evil-doers and detonating them with land mines. If you want all the violence in the world, this is the film for you. Watch as every second is filled with pointless explosions and every curse word in all the known languages in Cerealia.

Of course, spliced between every action scene will be every embarrassing moment of your life being played out for you and only you. Or is it? Start sweating and looking in every direction as you begin to wonder if everyone else can see that time you tripped and fell on your senpai almost kissing him (sacre bleu D= !)
BONUS - THEATER V
[ why:o'clock ] YARD-DOOR PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALS - RATED Z

This is a touching film about tenderness and coming together to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. The Yard-Door people run into danger when an evil megalord starts polluting the air with negative feelings. The Yard-Door people must band together and save the world through kindness. They will go and help their neighbors get across the street, rake up leaves from their lawns, donate canned food to the poor, and collect toys for children who do not have any.

While this film will draw tears from your eyes, you will see happy memories. The happiest that can be mustered. They will be spliced in with the scenes in the movie, occurring side-by-side with all the smiles and fuzzy feelings leaking off the screens. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

Also, beware! This film contains the angriest of Theater Cleaning Robots. Dropping anything on the floor will result in a bit of a flogging with a wooden paddle and a robot calling you a dirty slut and claiming that you like it. Yes, BDSM robots will not take your bad behavior. You better bend over and start apologizing for being such a filthy, little theater-goer.

Phoenix Wright | Ace Attorney

I.

[Out of all of the choices, this had seemed like the nicest and most wholesome option to enjoy with his daughter. Maybe it would help relieve some of the weirdness of being away from home.

...Then the killings happen and the grossness ensues.

He stands up in the middle of the theatre, shielding the view from his daughter while pointing at the screen.]

Objection! I object to... whatever's going on with this movie!

[Then a blank pause as he actually looks at the protagonist's face.]

Larry? How could you...

II

[Aside from the carcass-y part, this movie seemed like a better choice, if a heartrending one. ...But then he keeps seeing images of a younger him in a pink sweater dating a red-haired girl.]

N-no! How... How do they know?! [He looks around, as if nervously trying to see if anyone next to him noticed too.]

IV

[Phoenix isn't one for action movies, but he might as well try at least one? Just to see if it's less horrible. It's not so bad, but do they really have to curse this much?

But then he ends up quietly sweating bullets and lowering his head as he essentially beholds a slideshow of the many humiliations he's suffered over the years.]

[personal profile] stagewright 2015-03-07 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[ what no why what no why WHY DID THE PONIES DIE WHY THIS WHY IS THIS NOW THIS...ING. Phoenix didn't really need to stand up to block the view, since Trucy's immediate reaction was to squeak and slap her hands over her eyes. Especially when for a brief, stunned second she thought she'd seen Polly. ]

D-daddy! Let's leave! [ PLEASE GOOD LORD ]
bewrightback: (sweating bullets)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-07 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Trucy! [He winces as he looks around quickly.] R-right! [The ponies don't seem to be coming back after all. He quickly reaches for her hand.]

Don't open your eyes... I'll lead you out of here!

[ She's keeping one hand firmly over her eyes, THANK YOU. There is no part of her that ever wanted to see Apollo in this sort of situation. Or...Larry? Had her father mentioned Larry Butz? She really doesn't want to see that, either.

But the other hand is definitely taken by Phoenix and she'll stand up, nodding. ]

O-okay! I'm definitely on board with that plan!

[ yep she can definitely still...hear the movie...

please walk fast dad ]
bewrightback: (HUUUUUH?!)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-07 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[He is trying to walk fast! And to avoid looking at the screen.]

Right! We... we'll be out of her in no time! [But they had to be stuck in the middle of the aisle. As he makes his way down the aisle, he trips over one person and then another person's popcorn flies at them.]

Watch out!

Eeeek!

[ THANKS FOR THE WARNING, DAD, ALSO WALK MUCH ]
bewrightback: (aw come on)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-15 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
[WOW, he walks very much thank you. He also frantically apologizes to people as he pulls her past, slowly reaching the aisle.]

Sorry! Sorry, sorry. [Why are these other people still here? Please don't tell me they're enjoying this!]

[Well there certainly is a young woman occupying the chair beside him scribbling away in a notebook. Whilen the movie did not particularly seem to interest her, she could not help but wonder if anyone else had noticed a peculiar scene of the very same woman shouting...

It is then she even notices Phoenix next to her.]

A trick of the mind, perhaps?

[She mumbled, partially to herself. She's not about to let herself known to him just yet, but she does remember the man.]

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-09 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Phoenix does manage to barely hear the person next to him speaking, and he sheepishly looks towards her. Seeing the sugary romance of his youth on the big screen is all too embarrassing, so he frantically tries to distract her away from it.]

Don't look! Er, nothing to see there! He's... just a lookalike?

[I just got here, I can't let people see stuff like this already!]
fairbrook: mignonette; (♕ You think she's an open book;)

[personal profile] fairbrook 2015-03-09 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[...She was going to need a light.]

Sir...

[Explaining this to him was going to be more difficult than she first imagined. She then turns a blank page in her journal, subsequently plopping it into his lap.]

This notebook contains an account of my experiences since arriving in this world. [And in Ruby City, but.. details.] Would you mind recording for me what you just saw?

[Although his reaction nearly confirmed her suspicions She takes a moment for herself to light up a cigar.]
bewrightback: (sweating bullets)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-09 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[He looks down towards the journal for a moment hesitantly.]

What... you want me to write it down? But that's... that's not even me!

[But then he pauses and he just stares because is she lighting a cigar?]

Is smoking allowed in this theater...?
fairbrook: narben of lj; (♘ Yes I'm gonna win;)

[personal profile] fairbrook 2015-03-09 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[He may look slightly older than she remembers, but it was the same brilliantly hapless bloke she begrudgingly came to watch over. She chuckles softly to herself.]

I have reason to suspect that the images projected to us alternate based on the person and their own memories. It is vital that I keep a record as evidence, to determine what images are shown to what spectator, and how often they may reoccur.

[In short: she didn't see him.]

I doubt it matters.

[She says after a moment, addressing the elephant in the room.] This is only a simulation, after all.

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[She's an unusual one alright. He sheepishly looks down at the notebook for a moment.]

So, in other words... we're all seeing different things? That are not about me? [He still hesitates because this now he can keep his embarrassment to himself. Some first impression this'll be...]

Maybe, but something tells me the smoke isn't simulated... [He coughs.]
fairbrook: dreamings; gift, dnt; (♕ Your own stories;)

[personal profile] fairbrook 2015-03-10 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
[She nods to him.]

It was your outburst that helped me come to this conclusion. But you needn't worry, any information you provide to me will be kept strictly confidential.

[She respected him well enough, for one, and she would make a poor knight were she to expose him without a legitimate reason for doing so.

She takes a long drag on the cigar until she feels pleasantly buzzed.]

You could say the same of my temper.

[In spite of her remark, she puts out the the light. It wasn't anything Phoenix was doing, rather, her inability to sit through this film any longer.]
bewrightback: (oh boy i done goofed)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hesitates for a moment, then he starts to write something.]

Fine, fine...

[And he writes down a very vague description of spending time with another person. Then he looks up as the light goes out.]

I could...? Oh, thanks?

[ She might not hear any voices in the theatre since everyone is watching, but she could hear the heart of someone who's humiliated to death...

So she looks around, and addresses the audience (what is shame): ]

Everyone! You don't have to be embarrassed! We've all fallen down the stairs before! Especially before a very important trial!

[ Athena for best motivational speaker 2k15. ]

[Not the whip, not the whip!

...But he's interrupted from his reverie as he hears that voice. Only one person sounds like that and would fall down the stairs before a very important trial. He stands up to try to look towards her.]

Athena? ...Hold it, don't look at the screen! [Don't witness your boss's shame!]
psycholawgy: (iyaaa~n senpai so bold)

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-03-10 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[ What.

OF COURSE SHE WOULD LOOK AT THE SCREEN, GOD. But she just sees the bailiff helping her up and a bunch of other lawyers laughing on the side. She doesn't even see her boss anywhere... ]

Aughh!!! Why did they have to remind me! It was my first trial by myself too!
bewrightback: (HUUUUUH?!)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)

Is this something like Detective Fulbright- [ She pauses. No, it really wasn't Fulbright, was it... ] shocking Simon?
