The phrases Archer uses for his magic always starts with "I am the bone of my sword".
He also has a huge boner for swords.

It should be obvious.
Also? I like alliterative usernames.
Jack's username is a play on the phrase "too cool for school". There's obviously the pun with the word cool, and the rest comes from the fact he at first didn't want to be a Guardian, he's a rebel outside the law, bro. The numbers make it shorter and easier on the eyes.
I feel like Larry's (
failures) is pretty self-explanitory, haha. In the Ace Attorney world, he's known to cause a lot of trouble (unintentionally most of the time because he's silly) and fudges up a ton of stuff. So you could say his username is an accumulation of all his failures throughout the series.

Milla's (
souperb ) is meant to be "superb", but with a soup twist... because she's all about soup for some reason.
Hiccup's (
allthreefourths ) isss a play on the phrase they so liked to use in the first movie, "all of me"... but of course he doesn't really escape that movie with all of him, hence "all three fourths" to refer to his missing leg.
andd last is Masamune's (
dragonizing ) because he is agonizing and also dragons, as i apparently can't have enough dragons in my roster.
basically i like stupid puns and word play

Rin is a spirit hacker which means she can use code casts and rearrange coding in order to suit her needs in her canon. Plus she's a huge fat tsundere, but mostly dere dere as proven by Fate/Extra CCC.
So coder. codere.
I'll be here all night with my shitty puns.

Sabermetrics is the statistical study of baseball, and Leon is the SHSL Baseball Player, but he's much more interested in the study of hot chicks. BABERMETRICS.
ALL OF MINE ARE OBVIOUS BUT
spiritpearls / Pearl Fey: Pearl is named Pearl... and is a spirit medium. That's it.
muties / Roxy Lalonde: This one is thanks to Lucy! A "mutie" is what the symbol on her default shirt is called, which is a mutant cat with two extra eyes. Roxy had a l o t of mutie cats at home. Like there was some 200+ counted in one of the webcomic panels, ha...ha...ha...
tatooines / Tahiri Veila: Also thanks to Lucy, meant to match Anakin Solo's username. Tatooine is the planet Tahiri is from, so there. There it is.

hawke's username is
kirkwalled because it sounds like she got punched in the face by kirkwall and that is exactly what dragon age 2 is. hawke continuously being punched in the face by the city of kirkwall. smd, kirkwall.
malia's username is
scenting because she is a werecoyote and the billion of other malia related usernames were taken. welp!! i'm still trying to figure out a better one, tbh.

Fuyuhiko is the heir to the Kuzuryuu yakuza syndicate and he's visually impaired what with the eyepatch and all. He's pretty socially impaired too though, let's not kid ourselves. Impairments all around with this one
That and I kind of live for heir puns, my main muse before this asshole was John Egbert from Homestuck and the number of heir pun usernames I had for him was kind of ridiculous.

It can also be a play on "tabloid journalism" which means focusing on reporting sensationalist gossip and entertaining stories more than stories that would actually educate the public. "Tabloid" can refer to the size of the paper printed (smaller than a broadsheet used by more objective/respectable papers) or the "tabloid style" of sensationalist journalism.
See, and Myriam Scuttlebutt is a wannabe journalist who does these things and wears a cardboard box over her head... so "cardboard_journalism".

Mizael's ace is Tachyon Dragon so I turned it into a pun because I couldn't think of anything better. And it goes with one of my other accounts, which is also a (better) song pun.
Rock Lee is
niceguypose! The nice guy pose is one of his and Gai-Sensei's signature things, which essentially involves giving a thumbs up and a shining smile as positive encouragement for someone. Some of his heartwarming moments in canon are connected to said pose! With that, plus feeling that it generally reflected Lee's cheesy sense of optimism, it seemed like a natural choice!
For Phoenix Wright (
bewrightback), I put together a list of potential usernames that were Wright puns because I need help. Ultimately, I thought that 'bewrightback' looked the best and could be seen with extra meaning. It reflects Phoenix being in the midst of a comeback to the law profession in Dual Destinies, and it can also indicate the way that he takes on opponents with his own personality (Don't have the evidence to counter that claim? Time to bluff, Phoenix - be Wright back at them!)
Jade's user name is
yourfononsarewhack. I feel less proud of it now, but it's survived for over two years! Essentially, when I first thought of picking him up, it was hard to think of a good username that wasn't taken. Within the game, there's one embarrassing end battle quote where Jade declares "You're whack". I jokingly thought that I should work that into his username somehow, but I did not want to have "youre" in his username because it looks too awkward without the apostrophes. I also thought I should have something reflecting how he tends to give all kinds of fonon-related exposition, so I wound up mashing it all together into "yourfononsarewhack". It also reflects how smug he can be about his abilities....

"Zenryoku zenkai," or more accurately, 「全力全開」is Nanoha's once a season catchphrase that she uses just before she turns you into her best friend with a beam that probably belongs more on a giant robot's beam cannon than a small Japanese lady.
It basically translates into "full power, full throttle." So whenever Nanoha says something like that, you know where it comes from. In fact, have a video example.
A homonym, 「全力全壊」 has also become one of the popular in-jokes amongst Japanese fans. It translates into "full power, total destruction." Just so we're clear on what we're dealing with here.

Shoutai (小隊) is a Japanese word meaning platoon or militia! Shinsuke Takasugi (or the historical Shinsaku Takasugi that he's based on) is known for his use of auxiliary irregular military units. Under the feudal system, only samurai were allowed to carry weapons, but Takasugi's Shoutai recruited anyone, regardless of social status, meaning that even merchants and farmers and even priests could fight if they wanted to. A particular Shoutai that Takasugi founded and commanded himself was the Kiheitai—this is the group we see him chilling with in Gintama!
Coincidentally, there's also shoutai (招待), which means invitation. In Gintama, we see Takasugi personally invite multiple people to work with him, which is an important part of his character. He doesn't just recruit people to fight with him, he builds a sort of connection with these people, too, which is why so many of his men are so loyal to him. It could also be a reference to the Patriot Reunion Arc where he didn't receive an invitation to the reunion but that's a different story.

In canon, Blackquill is a convicted murderer who is granted permission to prosecute in court again, despite being a criminal. For every trial he's lead from the prison to the courthouse in chains, and kept handcuffed for the entire trial.
If he gets particularly pissed with the defence, though, this happens:

...At which point he can attack the defence with sword attacks and everyone freaks out. Basically, if Blackquill breaks free of his shackles, you know shit is about to get real.
There's also a running gag that no matter how many times he's refitted with stronger shackles for each trial, he always breaks free of them again anyway. CAN'T BE TAMED.

Aura's username is
roboticists which is her job title in her game! She likes robots a lot and builds them. Nothing beyond that. I originally was going to use the username "nerdquill" but we all know that Simon's the real nerd of these two.

For previous characters, Mitsuru Kirijo has
invoker which is a play on "evoker", which is the gun shaped device Persona 3 characters use to summon their personas and "invoke" which is when you call to authority to support your actions cause Mitsuru's pretty much an authority figure in SEES. Erron Black has
sandstorm which is just the name of his fatality.

Cantarella was most probably a variation of arsenic or cantharidin powder (made from blister beetles) and alleged by Borgia enemies to have been used by Pope Alexander VI, Rodrigo Borgia. Many writers dismiss these allegations as slander.
In the Earl Cain series, cantarella (misspelled 'cantelara' in the English translation) is the favored poison of the Hargreaves family, and is used in the two most plot-significant poisonings. :D
