OH GOSH KAORU
Athena looks up to Kaoru in some way because of how brave he is. She doesn't know how it was like when Kaoru arrived, but coming from the past with old skool and archaic technology (or lack, thereof) and being brought into this brave new world. Well, Athena would be really scared. But he seems to have it all together. Whether he's settled down or not, she thinks that Kaoru's really brave and courageous for not having gone crazy after all this. Then there's the idea that giant aliens ate his home, but he's still able to smile and make friends and everything. Athena just thinks it's really great, and that Kaoru's a good person for still being able to stand despite it all.
She loves how easily agreeable Kaoru is with things. It's kind of like they hit it off right away (in Athena's point of view) because of the pleasant personality Kaoru shows. Basically, Athena just thinks of him as such a nice person and she loves it. Because of how friendly Kaoru can be, she thinks that he's reliable and can be someone she can turn to if she has a problem or is in trouble. Whether Kaoru likes it or not, he is stuck with Athena now. FRIENDS.
While Athena likes Kaoru because of his pleasant personality, she doesn't really know much about him. But she would want to! His pleasant and pure kind of disposition is something that reminds Athena of home! Her best friend in Japanifornia is very much like that, so she feels that she can befriend Kaoru and make him someone very close to her. There's not much she knows, as I've already said, but no one bad can like paninis and be so demure, right? RIGHT???
She'd want to hang out with him more and maybe they can have slumber parties and have so many dumb shenanigans. Athena might have a loud personality, but she's very conscious of her movements and the things she says. She definitely won't put Kaoru up to dumb stuff like going to the shopping district to buy ribbons and or play games unless she feels like he would allow it. She just wants to do things right and not have Kaoru think she's too pushy or insistent with things. So she'll take things one step at a time! But one day. ONE DAY. THERE WILL BE SLEEPOVERS. AND CUTE STUFF. One day!!

Ayumu => Oz
HA… OKAY well. Oz is actually one of the first people Ayumu has met in Cereal, and that's a huge deal for him. The canonpoint he's taken from is post-series where he's basically d o n e with people. And it's kind of why he always lies now, and always puts on a fake smile or acts like he's somebody else. He doesn't want to befriend anyone anymore, nor even learn anyone's names. People can get attached to him, sure, but he won't ever let himself be attached to anyone.
And the thing with Oz is he is soooo similar to Hizumi, someone very important from him back home. Stupid idiot who gets into trouble and just kind of runs off… THAT KIND OF GUY. And what Oz has shown Ayumu is basically everything Hizumi. And that's really bad. As I've already said, he doesn't want to like any more people. But with Oz being such a nice and helpful guy with a penchant for stupid things, he can't help but feel like he's at home because of the familiarity. It's something makes Ayumu feel very conflicted with because he's resigned himself to having an awful life, and that includes not having friends or whatever is in between acquaintances and friends. As much as I want to talk about this some more, it'd enter Spiral: Ayumu's Life Sucks spoilers territory and people should read the manga since it only has 77 chapters. :E
Shoving Ayumu's dumb baggage aside, he feels that he would be able to get along well with Oz. Oz seems charismatic on his own, and he seems to know a lot of people. It's something that Ayumu likes, because why would he want to be affiliated with someone who has a bad rep? If there was ever a chance to work together, Ayumu would take it because he senses a lot of potential for a good kind of friendship between them. He also wants to clean Oz's apartment for him because the first and last time he saw his place, it was a mess. Ayumu loves cleaning up places like the maid that he is. ;_; Sob. But because Ayumu does have some baggage, everything in this paragraph is being heavily surpressed. No to friendship. He'll just talk to him because he's a "useful" person.
Oz left a pretty big impression on Ayumu. He was nice and let Ayumu stay in his place, and Ayumu was absolutely grateful for it. He grew up being rejected by people, especially his family, so being easily accepted by Oz was very nice. He won't admit that in out loud. But when Oz went to look for Ciel in their first thread and he never came back, it was a huge disappointment. Although, he was more disappointed in himself for thinking that this might be different, because he's not at home and the laws of the "spiral" might not apply here. (I could be more specific abotu this, but spoilers. 8() Ayumu just felt slightly connected to Oz even though they only just met. OKAY HE THINKS OZ IS A NICE PERSON, that's basically it. And it's the people whom he thinks nice things of that abandon him. And it's what happened to him at home just before he came, so he kind of rubbed salt in the giant open wound in Ayumu's kokoro. At least Oz didn't abandon him on purpose so Ayumu just tells himself that his being sad over it didn't happen. Forever in denial.
TL;DR HE DOES LIKE OZ and appreciates his company, but is fighting the feeling that he is human and needs to have a social life. Oz should totally drag him out to do stuff, though. Trolling Yata would be A++, and cooking too. PLEASE DON'T BURN ANYTHING, OZ… PLS…
ALSO I TOTALLY FORGOT UNTIL NOW!! The thing about gathering people and talking about what's been happening in the city. I figure that Ayumu would be expecting people to arrive soon, but since we have no app round this month, no one would be coming. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. •—• Is this something you still want to do? 'u'

AND AYUMU AND OZ HAVE SUCH GREAT POTENTIAL GOD i need to tag him more... Oz would feel so bad if he knew Ayumu felt abandoned LET HIM SOOTHE UR SAD KOKORO FRIEND.

He's not someone who dampens the mood or anything, and Athena finds him nice to be with because of it. So much energy and positive vibes coming from one person, it's impossible for her to be down for a long time. And also, he's very easy to get along with! She doesn't foresee the two of them having a disagreement, although who knows if they actually will.
Athena only knows Lee in the literal sense and doesn't know much about how he really is and all that, which is cool! It's still nice that they get to work together and talk about dumb shit (which is not dumb for them). She'd definitely want to know what makes Lee work that way - why he's so cheerful and why he has so much energy. People can be happy all they want, but based on Athena's
experiencestudies, these kinds of people usually aren't just all that. There's gotta be something underneath all this youthful happiness. Not that Athena doubts his sincerity! She thinks he's great and such a friendly guy, and he's fun to hang out with! But she's interested in what makes him tick for academic reasons. She doesn't plan on experimenting on him or anything. It's just something she thinks might get answered as they get to know each other better and become better friends.

Athena isn't sure how to deal with Archer because he's just so depressing??? Like. He's got a bad personality and insults people, but at the same time, also looks down on himself. IT'S… something that she finds strange and uncomfortable because she doesn't know a lot of people who act that way. But at the same time, she knows that there are people who are like this. It's a defense mechanism. It's projection which is funny because ha ha… Fate. I bet you thought that was funny.
She just feels like she has to tread carefully since with her experience with Archer so far has been very unpredictable. She doesn't want to offend him in any way, aside from the usual joshing around, since he just seems to have such a complicated personality.
But it's not all that bad! Athena thinks he's a good person underneath, otherwise, she would have probably gotten hurt by him already. Physically, or getting yelled at and emotionally torn apart with words, otherwise. Archer might have a convoluted view on justice and what's right, but Athena feels that he's not a bad person. He means well, but what happened to him in the past turned him into this guy! And it just pings Athena so hard because it's people like him whom she wants to help the most. (I could go into detail about this, but it'll end up being full of spoilers so nvm.)
Basically, Athena wants to help Archer above anything else. She's a bit hesitant on going full-on energetic crazy lady and punching him in the friendships because there's the fear of rejection and also fuck Archer is intimidating. It still won't stop her from being offended by the stuff he says, though. At the very least, she wants to to help him in any way. Whether it's his personal issues, or picking what kind of haircut to get. Sleepovers and painting each other's nails can come later!

WHAT A CUTIE!! And Athena really thought that Ai was yelling at her and was being rude the first time they met. And while she doesn't like thinking negatively about people, she thought that the two of them wouldn't hit it off in a good way because of their first meeting. But it's nice that Ai wasn't rude to her or anything, and that whole thing was settled pretty easily. Athena would have scolded her, if anything.
Ai just has a very endearing personality and Athena thinks that they get along quite well! And there's nothing better than that. She thinks that there's so much that they could do together. BASICALLY A LOT OF OPTIMISM and if she met Ryuko at the party for Rin then EVEN BETTER. Her friends should be friends with one another, it makes plans easier to make! '3'
That said, she doesn't really know Ai that well. But she does like her a lot. Basically, anyone who doesn't make her angry instantly becomes her friend. She's very excited to be able to impart knowledge on Ai when they start gym stuff because bonding!! And like she said, she'd invite her over for dinner so they can get to know each other better. Things like these are very important in relationships!! Athena only had a couple of friends when she was a kid, and she was very focused on studying as she grew up. There wasn't a lot of time to socialise, so she's going to make up for what she missed now. Ai happens to fit right in!

GOSH I think I've said this in every comment in this meme but Athena finds Shirasu (I suppose in this case, Kotarou?) to be very pleasant!! So basically, Athena likes him and would like to get to know him better. Pleasant people means friends! Lots of potential for friendship right there, and Athena will just claim all that potential as her own. He might not talk a lot, but she was very appreciative of him carrying on a conversation with her and actually listening to her. And when I say very appreciative, I mean very appreciative. She's afraid of people not listening to her, whether it's about serious business or just a casual conversation. It's serious stuff!
But, yeah, basically, she likes him and would want to get to know him better and be friends.
I have also been failing at tagging new things lately since I have so much backlog, but if you'd like to handwave that they do morning runs together or something, then that would be cool stuff '3' BE MY FRIEND, QUIET MAN.

Ryuko is like, the little sister Athena never had. Of course, she's 100% not sure on how to take care of people, but after befriending her, she feels that she's responsible for whatever happens to Ryuko! They got along well right away, which was great! Athena found it easy to be comfortable around her, and what she said when they first met was legit. Doing stuff together and getting through everything together - that was something she meant.
Frankly, Athena would feel pretty lost in Cerealia if it hadn't been for Ryuko. She's glad that they ended up sharing the same flat, even though it was an accident… or something! While she wants people to depend on her and ask her for help, well, she also depends on Ryuko a lot. Ryuko's strong and independent, and it's something that Athena admires about her.
There's still some stuff that she wants to know about Ryuko. There's definitely a lot of things they could do to get closer, but Athena won't rush things. The stuff about Senketsu is all so confusing for her, because Ryuko seems to be so… okay with it, but Athena feels like it's such a toxic thing to get into. She doesn't say it out loud, of course. But when something feeds on your blood… that stuff just isn't cool.
Athena's gotten a lot more conscious than she usually is with Ryuko around. As I've said, she feels like she's responsible for what happens to Ryuko and sees her as a younger sister. And while she thinks that, it also impacts her in a way that she gets really insecure about the things she does. Like, what if she's not working hard enough, or she's not helping at home, etc. because she wants to have a good image. Not because she's prideful or anything, but because she just doesn't want to disappoint. If she doesn't do well enough, then Ryuko might be done with her. Stuff like that. Athena is a really cheerful person, but she's got confidence issues, too.
That said, the time Athena wanted to teach Ryuko how to cook was a bust! She didn't beat herself up over it, but she did think about how she could have done better. She's become much more determined to learn more about household things so she can make Ryuko's life comfortable. She isn't going to do all the work, though, but she'd at least want Ryuko to see that she's someone dependable.
BASICALLY, RYUKO IS COOL BEANS and Athena just wants to show her the shining, shimmering world.

The only thing on Athena's mind when they met was like… "OKAY. I MUST MAKE ALL THE FRIENDS," and she was very determined to befriend every single person she met that day! Things didn't change much when the card's effect wore off, though. She's even more determined now to befriend Killua because it seems he's got this weird idea of friendship and relationships in general. It's pretty interesting, and even if he might reject her friendship, she at least intends to know about what his stance on relationships is before she backs out.
She's not really someone who would outright dislike someone. She might initially think he's a brat (and he sure is), but at the end of the day, her opinion on him changes into someone who's just difficult to deal with.
But she won't back out… she's put some effort and money (SOB!!!) into this. She's still pretty optimistic about the whole thing. NEVER GIVE UP.

sob I don't think there is anybody Athena doesn't like… At least, not that I can remember. So Athena likes Yang!! Yang has a sense of humour, and she's so upbeat. Like, she's the kind of person Athena would want to hang out with because she seems to know what she wants and she's cool about stuff. Please teach me your ways, because you are very cool!

crying… These two are so stupid. Athena can't outright dislike anyone unless they actually do some psychological harm to her, so Ludger is currently in the "I don't know what to think of this person" bracket. Like, at first he was nice, but also very pushy. Please stop being very pushy!
But, yeah. Athena isn't someone who can dislike anyone unless there was a good enough reason. Maybe she just doesn't know Ludger that well. She thinks his personality will get better the more she knows more about him.

Oh… man. Yata is hilarious and entertaining.
As someone who grew up being rejected by people, Ayumu didn't exactly have many friends. Being befriended by Yata right after their first meeting was something very new to him! And because Ayumu has grown up to be a cynical person, he just sees Yata as a big idiot. Ayumu knows he means well, but he's still a big idiot! If Yata knew the kind of shitstain Ayumu is, then he wouldn't want to be friends with him anymore. Calling someone a friend that quickly is stupid, Yata!!
But, yeah, Ayumu finds him entertaining because Yata just has so much energy and he seems to be a very genuine guy. Yata is easy to read, and whether it's unintentional or not, he's very upfront with his feelings too. Ayumu can tell that he's a loyal friend, which is nice in itself, but when you're Ayumu, you can't really trust people like those!!
Yata reminds Ayumu of someone from home, with the dumb stuff he says and crazy shenanigans he comes up with. It's not so bad because Ayumu at least knows how to deal with this kind of person. But this person was also the one Ayumu trusted the most, and they ended up betraying him. :') The wound is still very fresh and stings a lot, which is why he's very wary of Yata. He doesn't necessarily doubt Yata's sincerity, but he doesn't want to get attached to Yata at all, because of it. And that's kind of why Ayumu was pretty upset when Yata jumped out a window and never came back.
Most of what Yata has seen of Ayumu are acts, because… really. Ayumu won't be showing or telling anybody what he is, or who he is any time soon. He does find the times when Yata is around to be fun because he just has so much personality. Like I said, he finds Yata to be entertaining more than anything else. Frankly, he's the kind of person that Ayumu would instantly push away. But since Ayumu doesn't want to be himself, he's keeping Yata around because he might actually use his companionship some time in the future.
There's really a lot of potential for these two guys to be good friends. Ayumu just needs to get punched in the feels someday!
