Veronica wants so badly to think the best of him and she's never stopped doing that. Their first meeting was....interesting to her, at the very least. He's pretty much the second person she's ever kissed (and then they kind of ended up continuing with the kissing for a while there). She knows there's goodness in him and she believes in that.
But at the same time, she can't help but to feel that he doesn't care a lot about her. Not that she asks for him to! She's fine not being the most important person in people's lives even though she'd like to be. What's important is that he values himself and sometimes she's not sure he does that either....
Still though, she wants to be there for him, even if it's not in the same way as he might want her to be at the moment. She wants to hang out and be friends.
SHIHO'S THOUGHTS ON JAUNE. She has so many thoughts..... He's somehow become incredibly important to her and she's not even sure how though she traces it back to him saving her in the forest and then just being able to accept her for her powers just like that. He's the first Normal that's ever done that for her with the exception of Minamoto and she's still reeling from it.
She's always thought he was a great guy even back when they first met. A silly but ultimately really honest, genuinely good-hearted guy but she definitely underestimated how weak she is to that. Shiho would protect him with everything that she has and socially ruin his enemies if she had to do that too. But at the same time she also really likes relying on him too?? She dokis for him at what she thinks are completely inappropriate moments (which is always) and even hugs the stuffed animal he gave her a really long time ago. She's never acted so much like a high school girl before and honestly it's completely throwing her off her game. She's supposed to be the cool one, damn it!
Besides, one part of her can't help but to think that he deserves so much better than the feelings of some sadistic psychometer...
Leon just so happens to be one of maybe three people in the entirety of the colony that Veronica asks questions of. From the moment they met, she's been trying to figure out how best to interact with him without accidentally hurting his feelings and she thinks she's kind of got it at this point! And with that, with knowing him, comes the amazing feeling of knowing that he's listening to her and that even if other people think her questions are weird that he answers each and everyone really seriously. (Even while thinking she's weird but the important thing here is that he never writes off her worries as being silly or insignificant.)
She thinks that he's such a good soul, and she can't help but to like him and to wish for every happiness possible for him.
Also the colour of his hair is A+.
And then I suddenly remembered: apparently he thinks she's attractive? But then he said not to worry about it and that he'd never force anything on her without her expressed consent so she's taking his word for it. Again: such a good soul. She doesn't like him in that way (though she does like him very, very much as a friend) so she's glad he's giving her the choice and learning a lot about making choices of her own just from being with him.
They had an...interesting first meeting....she thought he was a shrieking Hero that was all friendship speeches and terrible plans, and mooching muffins off of people, honestly. Even after knowing that he wasn't a bad person (and was actually very kind) didn't make her ease up on him even a bit. (Because when does she ever ease up on anyone....being mean is one of her character traits ok).
Somehow she ended up being very fond of him, despite the dumb nicknames, the fact that he put Minato in a garbage can, or when he calls her mean (which is just rude). And the more she knows him, the more worried she gets about him. The Bel thing, how terrible he apparently is at teleporting, and how much he reminds her of Kaoru and Aoi and herself as children doesn't help. She's not sure he has his life in order and though she will claim to the end of time that she hates worrying, she can't help worrying about him.
He's someone that she would tase someone else for, if it came to that.
She has him labelled as another Hero Type. Even being from a horror movie doesn't change that. As far as she's aware, he's a well-meaning, dangerous-things-doing hero from a slow-starting horror movie. He does have really good taste in cafes though. That place is awesome and she probably goes back there every so often.
She's not sure if this makes up for the fact that his friend is apparently a villainous senior citizen who may or may not have too much interest in his every day activities. ....Come to think of it, that's almost like her own villainous senior citizen stalker.....she sympathizes with you, you poor person you.
BUT. She does think he's a good person. Albeit the kind that she could use by appealing to his good nature.
Even from their very first meeting, Veronica liked her! (Though she likes everyone so maybe that's not such a good indication). Lili just seemed so driven and so well-organized. It helps that she organized the fair that Veronica enjoyed so much. But yes, Veronica has a really good opinion of her, and she would just go around telling people that Lili is super sweet and nice.
And what's most important: Lili is honest with her. People aren't often like that with Veronica, whether it's because of a genuine desire to troll, or because Veronica asks really weird questions...
Either way, she likes Lili and she doesn't expect that to change any time soon.
He reminds her so much of those little kid ghosts. Not the super terrifying kind that are out to murder you in your sleep, cling to your feet etc, but the kind that are really chill and just want to play and don't really understand much about the world. She really was scared of him for at least a minute, but it's so hard to be when he has a small fluffy fox and when he's just so harmless-seeming. He's never even tried to shout "boo" at her or anything...that's terribly unghost-like behaviour. More than anything, she just wants to kind of spoil him?? And maybe feed him. She blames Minamoto for that.
Veronica really, really enjoys Sayo's company. She hadn't been sure what to make of him during their first meeting (especially because she'd never interacted with anyone who looked so much younger than she did) but he's more than shown himself to be kind and incredibly capable and strong. She just wishes there was some way for her to ease his thoughts about taking revenge and violence and challenging it towards things that are more peaceful.
Veronica knows though that if she were to ever need someone to help her, that she can count on him. Also he is so good with persimmons?? He needs to teach her his secret.
Takeru is such a good child. That's what she thinks. (Much better than she was as a child...she was out of control.) He's so polite and caring and she can't help but like him and wish him the best. He also seems curious which is something she's always been told is a trait that is of value, so she encourages him to keep asking questions.
His brother and his best friend though....that is something that is kind of worrying...especially because Takeru seems to be very worried about it, as well. She plans to help where she can and to give support if he'd rather help himself.
