And, of course, you both can't move until you kiss one another (Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen).

.. Isn't it.. um.. mistletoe? [ it's a western thing, mostly.. he thinks. ] I guess I should get my step-stool before it does something weird like explode or turn us all into cats.

[ he starts to turn and take a step, then pauses. he.. can't move his feet??? ]

Yeah, it's mistletoe. See the white berries? That's how you can differentiate it from holly. [ He snorts. ] I'll get one of the waste bins so you can just knock it in, that way we don't have to touch it much.

[ Because it could definitely explode... or, you know, render them immobile? He shifts from side to side but yep, his feet are stuck too. ]

haru stares down at their feet, then squints up at the mistletoe again. ]

So.. we're stuck. Do you suppose it'll wear off, or is it a puzzle..?

Kon figures he can't stretch up to knock it down. So, squinting together it is. ]

I mean, it could be a puzzle? Mistletoe has a lot of symbolic meanings, and in western culture people kiss under it.

[ record-scratch. ] K-Kiss? [ excuse haru while his ears start going hot, eyes widening faintly. ] Why would they kiss under a plant?

Europeans are weird. [ blunt ] It's associated with fertility and vitality, but I'm not sure what started the tradition of kissing under it...

[ another suspicious glance up at the plant. dont do it, ho. haru Cant Deal. ]

Is there.. any other meaning it could have..? [ surely ceres doesn't want people kissing??? that seems like a weird thing to do.. ]

It's toxic? Eating it will make you sick, and it can be used as a poison. [ It's either kissing people or killing them, one of which seems more up CERES' alley. ]

Well.. neither of us can reach it, so they probably don't want us eating it.

[ UGH. that leaves one option?! the rest of his face is starting to get hot now, too. ]

Who knows, maybe they spliced it with a flytrap and it's only a matter of time before it's eating us.

[ Kon, no. But he kinda... grins a little bit as he blushes. ] It's worth trying the safer option, right?

Ugh, don't jinx it. [ that's a distinct possibility around here.

After a second, Kon looks up as well, then at him again, taking a little bit of pity on him. ] Only if you're all right with it. [ He tilts his head. ] We could wait for one of the tsukumogami to come by, but they might get stuck, too.
