The helmets are deceiving as to how things actually work—it's plot related so we won't reveal much here but the 'VR' concept is perceived more than actually occurring. Basically, playing/immersing has nothing to do with the ability to see or observe so she will be just fine (and she would actually be a prime character to be able to notice such a thing since she unlike the others, is blind! So if you do app her in, there will already be something strange waitingn for her to notice and potentially share with others due to her unique situation!).
