Suffice to say, Tsurumaru dropping to his knee like that, making a vow like that, was not in his expected responses file, and so it takes him a moment to respond.
For a moment, he simply looks at Tsurumaru, as if in an attempt to see through him, to at least understand his motives and reasoning. The speech was more flowery than he was used to, but...the words, bordering on mockery, don't bother him any more than the words about the Abe family, or the words about the Yamainu, bothered him either.
