Mystery Science Theatre -3000

Welcome to Cerealia's latest attraction. In an effort to branch into other forms of entertainment, CERES has been slowly patching together films from various worlds to show in its brand new movie theater. So, grab a friend, sit back, and enjoy the newest batch of imported films with a nice bucket of popcorn. As you'll notice from the long line outside, it's the latest rage in the colony, and those tired of the same virtual battles in ViViD are eager to enjoy a little change in scenery.

For those eager to participate, you will find yourself being lead into the lobby by one of the many robotic theater employees. Showing today are five special films, and in the lobbies are various screens advertising them through the movie's digital avatar, Mnemosyne. Allow her to take you on a virtual tour of CERES' finest theatrical offerings.

(( P.S. no actual actors/actresses appear in any of the films. It's all done through advanced CGi-technology and voice acting. ))
"GOOD EVENING, MOVIE-GOERS. I AM MNEMOSYNE, YOUR GUIDE FOR THIS EVENING.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE HAVE SEVERAL CONCESSIONS FOR YOU. PLEASE PARTAKE IN THE CONCESSIONS, BUT DO NOT MAKE A MESS. THE THEATER ROBOTS HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO TAKE ACTION FOR LITTERING.

TONIGHT'S FILMS ARE THE MUCH LAUDED AND CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED FILMS HAND-PICKED BY JULIUS VINCERE:

MY PETITE EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE RATED A

LARGE ADVENTURER 7 RATED B

THE RETALIATORS: ERA OF RADICALON RATED C

DECEASE HARDER II RATED D

YARD-DOOR PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALS RATED Z

PLEASE MAKE YOUR SELECTION AT THE BOOTHS IN THE FRONT OF THE LOBBY THEN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO THE APPROPRIATE THEATER. THANK YOU AND ENJOY YOUR EVENING."

THEATER I
[ 00:00 ] MY PETITE EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE - RATED A

Advertised as a delightful tale of ponies discovering magic and friendship, this is a must-see! For adults that is. The ponies are killed within the first ten minutes, and then the rest of the run time is filled with a celebratory orgy of Roman-esque proportions. There are no mentions of ponies after the initial scene. They are neither seen nor mourned nor heard from. There are only naked, gyrating bodies as far as the eye can see.

If you manage to sit through the horror long enough, you will notice a certain something in between the moaning. Is that your face on one of the protags? Is it a beloved family member or a friend? You will find that spliced between the scenes are cherished and innocent childish memories now being soiled by passionate cries of pleasure. Enjoy the new memory, your poor, sweet summer child. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER II
[ 00:00 ] LARGE ADVENTURER 7 - RATED B

A touching tale of dealing with loss and more loss. This film is about a giant robot and his pet human that gets eradicated in the Third Robotic Genocide, leaving behind just a human carcass. The giant robot clings to the carcass and cries robotic tears until finally he chucks the carcass into a river full of carcasses and decides to go on a deep quest in search of cheese.

But spliced between this tale of woe, viewers will see images of themselves caught in a romantic memory. A first kiss, perhaps? A first love-making session? A first crush? A desired one will also have their face molded on top of all the carcasses as they flow away. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

THEATER III
[ 00:00 ] THE RETALIATORS: ERA OF RADICALON - RATED C

Agent Dick Angry takes it upon himself to assemble a team of miscreant aliens to invade the hell out of "Planet Earth." The aliens include Zorn, an intelligent toaster; Crisis, a blue-skinned beauty that turns purple when she's aroused; Trish, a rogue miniature ficus with a criminal record; and General Cerealia, a handsome, ripped man who beats evil-doers with his laptop and who looks suspiciously like CERES' programmer, Elias.

This adventurous romp will feature the tragic memories of death interweaving with the destruction of the "Planet Earth." Those who attend will see first-hand the memories of their own worlds slowly being demolished before their eyes and all their loved ones screaming in agony. Then it'll loop itself again and again for the last hour of the film. Enjoy! This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER IV
[ 00:00 ] DECEASE HARDER II - RATED D

Jack McJack is a cop who is having none of your shit. In this action film, he will ride around on a velociraptor and go around punching evil-doers and detonating them with land mines. If you want all the violence in the world, this is the film for you. Watch as every second is filled with pointless explosions and every curse word in all the known languages in Cerealia.

Of course, spliced between every action scene will be every embarrassing moment of your life being played out for you and only you. Or is it? Start sweating and looking in every direction as you begin to wonder if everyone else can see that time you tripped and fell on your senpai almost kissing him (sacre bleu D= !)
BONUS - THEATER V
[ why:o'clock ] YARD-DOOR PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALS - RATED Z

This is a touching film about tenderness and coming together to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. The Yard-Door people run into danger when an evil megalord starts polluting the air with negative feelings. The Yard-Door people must band together and save the world through kindness. They will go and help their neighbors get across the street, rake up leaves from their lawns, donate canned food to the poor, and collect toys for children who do not have any.

While this film will draw tears from your eyes, you will see happy memories. The happiest that can be mustered. They will be spliced in with the scenes in the movie, occurring side-by-side with all the smiles and fuzzy feelings leaking off the screens. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

Also, beware! This film contains the angriest of Theater Cleaning Robots. Dropping anything on the floor will result in a bit of a flogging with a wooden paddle and a robot calling you a dirty slut and claiming that you like it. Yes, BDSM robots will not take your bad behavior. You better bend over and start apologizing for being such a filthy, little theater-goer.

The worst? I didn't realize I'd achieved such a high honor.

[okay, so maybe yuuki had a good reason to believe that. after all, his few memories of her probably weren't winning any favor (not that he was trying). he's not the most pleasant person to deal with, and she's always been something on an easy target.

right now kind of proves that, at least, on the surface.

without him knowing what memories she possesses, or how much she really knows about him though, he has nothing else to go on. he doesn't understand just how he's flustering her, or what memories that movie somehow managed to dredge up. all souji really knows right now is that she said is name, and when he responded (however assholeish is was to do so in the manner he did)], she got flustered.

amusingly flustered. it's actually kind of cute, in a way. he doesn't really know or care what that says about him—he always finds chizuru cutest when she flusters too, so many it's just a matter of knowing that he can elicit such a strong reaction from someone by simply responding in the manner he feels like that gets him. not that it matters, no matter how endeared or enthused he may be, it's only a faint amusement that shows in his expression. it's a slight quirk of the brow and an upward tug of the lips; his eyes still have a dangerous look to them—perhaps more unpredictable than deadly, but they have a slightly soft edge. yuuki's no threat to him.

but she's definitely making him very curious. after all, he hadn't realized they were so well-acquainted that she'd react so strongly... or even that she'd have said his name at all to begin with.]

Is it really that strange? This place is open to everyone, after all. Really, I don't think that's what the important part of this is at all. [what's important is "why did i hear my name from your mouth without any prompting?"]

W-whoa! [That sure takes him off guard. But give him a moment and he'll hug her back in a more low-key manner.] Is everything alright?
shacklebreaker: (delicious feather omnom)

[personal profile] shacklebreaker 2015-03-10 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps we should discuss this outside. [They're starting to get annoyed looks from others in the theatre, even talking in relatively quiet voices, so he starts to lead the way out.]

Did you receive that insipid presentation when you arrived here?

[Is arrived even the right word? "Recreated", perhaps? "Manifested"...?]
psycholawgy: (words words words)

[ This is a pretty tight hug. Who cares if they're in a movie theatre!? ]

I'm so glad they saved you, Mr. Wright!

You know, we never actually found out if you would lose.

[ Yes... Someone definitely is getting the paddle now though he's mostly getting smacked on the shoulder. It wasn't even him that littered or dropped anything, but he's definitely too lazy to do anything about this robot that is calling him a dirty slut and stuff of the like.

He'll just nonchalantly pick up whatever the robot was angry about and put it into the trash for it before letting out a yawn. After all that, he'll finally take his leave until he notices Pharos. It takes a while, but--
]

It has been a while. [ Extremely nostalgic. ]

Is that what this is all about? [He smiles.] Well... I'm glad that you're safe, too, Athena.

I would have.

[ Shrugs his shoulders once more, then just rests an elbow on the armrest, then his chain on his elbow. ]

World renowned fighter vs... Mercury. I don't know, the odds are very telling.

[The guy next to her seems really caught up in the film. If his expression's anything to go by, he's slightly disturbed and very confused by it. He finally drags his attention away from the screen.]

Huh?

[It takes Anavoth a bit to process *Mute's comment.] I dunno, the cheese part's confusin' me...

[He starts side-eyeing the screen again, remembering to lower his voice this time.] (An' I can't decide if makin' all the corpses be the same guy was just lazy or is supposed to mean somethin'. It was probably time-consumin' to do, yeah? But...) [He trails off and grimaces at the movie. He can't get too upset by something so obviously faked, even if he's not sure how they did it, but seeing so many dead Ym-Kadens is a bit disturbing all the same.]

Right... [He looks sheepishly around at all the annoyed movie-goers and gives apologetic waves as he starts to turn to leave.] Let's do that.

I know exactly what presentation you're talking about. It was one of those... what do you call it, Wordpoint? things.
psycholawgy: (fucking trucy ate all my waffles)

I've been here for about a month now, Mr. Wright! The only person I know from our world who was saved are Mr. Edgeworth and Mr. Gavin!

[ She sounds so worried talking about all that, but her tone immediately changes as she hugs Phoenix again. ]

I'm just so glad. I'm glad you're here, boss.
harepiece: (i can see alaska)

[Oz is excited about everything it's true, but especially candy. King chocolate, more like KING OF HIS HEART.]

Right?! And listen to this - the best part is, it comes with two in each pack!
bewrightback: (smile)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Edgeworth, too... and you mean Klavier Gavin? Of course you do, he's the only Gavin you know isn't he...

[And he'll quietly return her hug, as much as she needs it.]

I'm glad that all of you guys got saved. Trucy came here with me, too. I can't say I completely understood that explanation of this situation... but if you guys are here and safe, I know we have a fighting chance.
reuser: (45)

That I have........... never had to edit a tag for an error in my life, that's what!

[personal profile] reuser 2015-03-10 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that presumption does you less credit than you deserve.

[ His attitude is a bit saddening, but she's less about to admit that. Either she's being challenged by people who wish to dethrone her utterly (yes, we're thinking of you, Cardin and CRDL) or she's being deflected as obviously superior.

Spars used to be friendly. Once. Maybe. -- Or maybe that had only been to her. ]
shacklebreaker: (let me explain u a thing)

[personal profile] shacklebreaker 2015-03-10 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfit...? Do they think our punishments too lenient?

[He assumes she doesn't mean that they're too harsh, given they're living under a dictatorship. Either way, living under such a government rubs him the wrong way. He and politics have mixed badly enough in the past without all this.

He looks over to the cosplay cafe when she indicates it. Who needs a cafe for it when you're a fulltime samurai cosplayer?]

Hmm, we can get some gelato there, then. [It'll be an opportunity to get acquainted with Athena's workplace, too.]

[personal profile] millionth 2015-03-10 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
["that" like weird robots trying to do weird things, really, but yeah he's not against knowing if robots go around spanking people here, 'cause that'd make this place even more dangerous than he would've thought.

he frowns thoughtfully at her explanation, raising a hand to his chin and shrugging as he mulls that one over.]

Yeah, I heard it, but come on. People can't be code. [he lowers that hand, waving it through the air and looking at it as though expecting numbers or letters to show up on his skin] What kind of glitches?
shacklebreaker: (you're an idiot and here's why)

[personal profile] shacklebreaker 2015-03-10 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[What a graceful exit, Phoenix. Once they're out in the lobby, Blackquill grins at him.]

Powerpoint, actually, but you were close enough. I assume it is the standard induction all receive here.

What would you intend to ask the authorities, if you got a chance to question them?
bewrightback: (please go on)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[He blinks and tries to take in this corrected technology-related term, and then he ponders in the lobby.]

Well, you know, I'll ask them... if all of this is true? And... what we can do to help, probably.
bewrightback: (is there something on my face)

[personal profile] bewrightback 2015-03-10 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's all! That's still interesting. I'm just asking because I've known a few spirit mediums in the past, and there's no way of telling without asking if you know any spirit channeling technique.

[personal profile] arcanaofdeath 2015-03-10 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not quite as nostalgic for Pharos because for him, it hasn't been that long but hearing Minato's familiar voice and seeing his face again always brings a smile to Pharos' lips. He didn't think he would get to talk to Minato again like this as he'd expected their last meeting to be their final one but Pharos is glad to be given this chance.

To be able to talk to Minato again even if their time remains just as short in the long run.]

How are you?
idealistic: (【COLETTE】what do we do...?;)

[ bUT HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE PART OF THIS SCANDAL??? being unarmed, all Lloyd can do right now is dodge as well as he can-- swiftly leaning back before scurrying back and away from the attack. and he's putting in extra effort to make sure he doesn't get smacked: that paddle looks like it'll hurt and this kid is swinging hard.

and now this kid's spewing something about having amnesia?! dammit, he's distressed and confused enough as is! ]

Wh-- I don't even have amnesia! [ hell, he doesn't even know how to spell "amnesia"! ]

Would you plan on watching that kind of thing? [ He raises his eyebrows as he checks the movies. There's something about the title seems off to him especially if it's Rated A? What does it even mean? Tilting his head to the side, all of the movies seem suspicious to say the least. ]

Whatever floats your boat and satisfies your lust, good sir. [ Though he makes this remark, he'll probably end up wanting to movie hop to see what all of these are about. ]

[ Man, he was the one who needed rescuing again. What a bummer. ]

Pyrrha-- no.. I... are you okay? When it had you like that, all I could think of was how to get it away... I should have been ready for that.

[He keeps mustering her, but the warning seemed to be reasonable enough. Normal - not anything out of the ordinary. Well, if a warning was ordinary - he certainly did not think so.]

Are those the same ones who 'saved' us?

[In any case, they were probably not pleasant people if they used skills like that - skills that obtained very personal information.]
