Mystery Science Theatre -3000

Welcome to Cerealia's latest attraction. In an effort to branch into other forms of entertainment, CERES has been slowly patching together films from various worlds to show in its brand new movie theater. So, grab a friend, sit back, and enjoy the newest batch of imported films with a nice bucket of popcorn. As you'll notice from the long line outside, it's the latest rage in the colony, and those tired of the same virtual battles in ViViD are eager to enjoy a little change in scenery.

For those eager to participate, you will find yourself being lead into the lobby by one of the many robotic theater employees. Showing today are five special films, and in the lobbies are various screens advertising them through the movie's digital avatar, Mnemosyne. Allow her to take you on a virtual tour of CERES' finest theatrical offerings.

(( P.S. no actual actors/actresses appear in any of the films. It's all done through advanced CGi-technology and voice acting. ))
"GOOD EVENING, MOVIE-GOERS. I AM MNEMOSYNE, YOUR GUIDE FOR THIS EVENING.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE HAVE SEVERAL CONCESSIONS FOR YOU. PLEASE PARTAKE IN THE CONCESSIONS, BUT DO NOT MAKE A MESS. THE THEATER ROBOTS HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO TAKE ACTION FOR LITTERING.

THEATER I
[ 00:00 ] MY PETITE EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE - RATED A

Advertised as a delightful tale of ponies discovering magic and friendship, this is a must-see! For adults that is. The ponies are killed within the first ten minutes, and then the rest of the run time is filled with a celebratory orgy of Roman-esque proportions. There are no mentions of ponies after the initial scene. They are neither seen nor mourned nor heard from. There are only naked, gyrating bodies as far as the eye can see.

If you manage to sit through the horror long enough, you will notice a certain something in between the moaning. Is that your face on one of the protags? Is it a beloved family member or a friend? You will find that spliced between the scenes are cherished and innocent childish memories now being soiled by passionate cries of pleasure. Enjoy the new memory, your poor, sweet summer child. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER II
[ 00:00 ] LARGE ADVENTURER 7 - RATED B

A touching tale of dealing with loss and more loss. This film is about a giant robot and his pet human that gets eradicated in the Third Robotic Genocide, leaving behind just a human carcass. The giant robot clings to the carcass and cries robotic tears until finally he chucks the carcass into a river full of carcasses and decides to go on a deep quest in search of cheese.

But spliced between this tale of woe, viewers will see images of themselves caught in a romantic memory. A first kiss, perhaps? A first love-making session? A first crush? A desired one will also have their face molded on top of all the carcasses as they flow away. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

THEATER III
[ 00:00 ] THE RETALIATORS: ERA OF RADICALON - RATED C

Agent Dick Angry takes it upon himself to assemble a team of miscreant aliens to invade the hell out of "Planet Earth." The aliens include Zorn, an intelligent toaster; Crisis, a blue-skinned beauty that turns purple when she's aroused; Trish, a rogue miniature ficus with a criminal record; and General Cerealia, a handsome, ripped man who beats evil-doers with his laptop and who looks suspiciously like CERES' programmer, Elias.

This adventurous romp will feature the tragic memories of death interweaving with the destruction of the "Planet Earth." Those who attend will see first-hand the memories of their own worlds slowly being demolished before their eyes and all their loved ones screaming in agony. Then it'll loop itself again and again for the last hour of the film. Enjoy! This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.
THEATER IV
[ 00:00 ] DECEASE HARDER II - RATED D

Jack McJack is a cop who is having none of your shit. In this action film, he will ride around on a velociraptor and go around punching evil-doers and detonating them with land mines. If you want all the violence in the world, this is the film for you. Watch as every second is filled with pointless explosions and every curse word in all the known languages in Cerealia.

Of course, spliced between every action scene will be every embarrassing moment of your life being played out for you and only you. Or is it? Start sweating and looking in every direction as you begin to wonder if everyone else can see that time you tripped and fell on your senpai almost kissing him (sacre bleu D= !)
BONUS - THEATER V
[ why:o'clock ] YARD-DOOR PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALS - RATED Z

This is a touching film about tenderness and coming together to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. The Yard-Door people run into danger when an evil megalord starts polluting the air with negative feelings. The Yard-Door people must band together and save the world through kindness. They will go and help their neighbors get across the street, rake up leaves from their lawns, donate canned food to the poor, and collect toys for children who do not have any.

While this film will draw tears from your eyes, you will see happy memories. The happiest that can be mustered. They will be spliced in with the scenes in the movie, occurring side-by-side with all the smiles and fuzzy feelings leaking off the screens. This will only be visible to the viewer himself/herself.

Also, beware! This film contains the angriest of Theater Cleaning Robots. Dropping anything on the floor will result in a bit of a flogging with a wooden paddle and a robot calling you a dirty slut and claiming that you like it. Yes, BDSM robots will not take your bad behavior. You better bend over and start apologizing for being such a filthy, little theater-goer.

Oh yeah? Who are you going to sucker into doing that?

[ Who really has the time? ]
psycholawgy: (bah la la la la)

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-03-26 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
A ninja, that's who!

[ aka Rock Lee... ]
gareki: tsunkuuyandere (029)

[personal profile] gareki 2015-03-26 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
.... A what?

[ That effectively stops Gareki from making an immediate snappy comeback. ]

You and your friends don't have a lot of hobbies, huh?

[ Picking fights with a teenager and now plotting to follow him around. ]

It's no wonder the CEO made app games to help kill time for everyone here.
psycholawgy: (i'm all about that bass)

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-03-26 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll prove you wrong!

I'm working two jobs - soon three. And I've got kitchen duty at home, too.

[ She's incredibly busy... ;_; ]
gareki: tsunkuuyandere (007)

[personal profile] gareki 2015-03-27 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Shouldn't you be doing those jobs right now?

[ They got a little off track, but Gareki seems to have an idea of what to do now.

1. Figure out what job he wants.
2. Earn the money needed to keep his apartment.

He'll probably just... wing it from then on. ]
psycholawgy: (i'm all about that bass)

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-03-27 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Today is my day off!

[ She sounds completely pleased with herself. Sorry that she's weird. ]

[ He glances back at the screen for one more moment - not seeing anything particularly strange - before he looks back at her, shaking his head lightly. ]

Don't assume it's just you. This place is just as weird as Zelien in some ways, it's probably trying to pull something. [ And the last thing he wants is them screwing with Yuuki right now she's popped up here, honestly.. don't do that to his adopted little sister. ] Don't let it get you paranoid, thinking it's you.

[ With that he moves to slowly and carefully put her down on the ground, making sure she's standing upright on her own feet before he lets go enough to give her a (slightly rough) hair ruffle. ]

Instead of thinking about it too hard, let's get you something. How about some cake, huh?

[ That's what young girls like, right.. probably.. ]
gareki: tsunkuuyandere (081)

[personal profile] gareki 2015-03-27 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[ It's okay, he's so used to being around weirder people. ]

And this is how you spend it, huh?

No other hobbies to speak of?

Actually, I went grocery shopping earlier, and finished a painting when I got home.

[ Pyrrha tugs her CereVice out of its holding spot - the pouch that would have, in different circumstances, held her scroll - and, holding it resolutely, favours Sousei with an appreciative smile. ]

I think I can handle that.

[ And then, without missing a beat, ]

Sorry, but I ought to go find [ my occasionally helpless partner ] a friend of mine and show him the way. Thank you for the directions.

[ Unless he has much else further to add, she'll be off. Hopefully, though, it won't be their last encounter. Social link, get. ]

[ It sounds suspiciously like home the way he describes it. Or, at the very least, like a place that could be a home. A place to settle, offering a life and not jus an existence. If their worlds truly were destroyed, well - it could be worse. Maybe. Feasibly.

Pleasantly, and without too much overt force, Pyrrha probes him for details about life in this colony as I carry us to a respectful fade-to-black! (It's for the good of mankind.) ]

[ for what it is worth she takes his words to heart, which actually says quite a lot about her willingness to trust his advice. Where she might choose to flip back and forth on her decision the longer it gets questioned, Shinpachi's always been straightforward. Even if he's wrong in the end, he make a decisions sound as if a wrong choice doesn't exist.

That sort of confidence in following yourself through and being willing to take on the results is inspiring and she nods even as she's put down.
]

I won't get paranoid, because Shinpachi-nii wouldn't if in my situation!

[ and it's true, because Yuuki really does look up to him for these sorts of things. She blinks at his next suggestion, though, her expression growing in slight awe because— ]

They actually have cakes here—?!

[ she will never turn down delicious food, especially after Zelien and Nuadoria. Their menu choices were the worst, honestly... ]

That... sounds like some mess.

[Judai wordlessly sets his own duel disk on his arm, but doesn't activate it. He sees Yuya's trembling hands and decides to approach this a different way.]

I don't really like the idea of Academia attacking people, but if you say it is - then I believe you. But you gotta confirm something for me. [He raises up his arm to display his duel disk at a good angle, where Yuya can see it as clear as day.]

This is my duel disk - seen anything like it before? Anything maybe those people you're talking about would use?
ridethathippo: (Abandonment issues ahoy)

[personal profile] ridethathippo 2015-03-29 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
.... [The second Yuya takes a good look at Judai's duel disk, he can breathe with ease. He was looking for a holographic board in the shape of a sword, so he's more than relieved to see that's not the case.]

It's an old model. N-not what they used, but it looks like it's based on the original duel disks. [Yuya's shoulders slump, some tension leaving but still completely confused about...not being in control of himself. His hands ball into fists and release, repeat, just to test. Crisis averted?]

I'm sorry...Sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me. [And the shame of not knowing is hitting him hard.]
nostatus: (one awkward conversation)

[personal profile] nostatus 2015-03-29 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Shinpachi can't help but smile at the sight. First of all since Yuuki is putting that much faith into him - which just means he has to live up to it, but he's sure not worried about that - but also since she's already getting all amazed and excited over something again.

Typically Yuuki, really. ]

They sure do!

[ And he's glad to at least be able to deliver some good news here inbetween everything else. ]

No more creamed corn for any of us. Sounds pretty amazing, doesn't it? [ Because Shinpachi sure understands that terrible part about Zelien.. ]
superfuse: (007)

[personal profile] superfuse 2015-03-29 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yuya's duel disk was strangely simple in design. Frankly, Judai didn't know how it'd work, but he did know it involved a more advanced technology than he'd seen of Yusei's (who was already from the future). And thanks to meeting that guy, he had managed to clear up a misunderstanding for the most part.]

Hey, don't worry about it. [He approached Yuya from the side and seated himself on the floor, patting the ground to motion the other to join him.] You wanted to know if I was the bad guy or not. No big deal. But I wasn't lying about wanting to duel you, y'know.

[He stretches out his hands and arms, imitating what Yuya had shown him just a few minutes ago.] Duelists locked in battle! Kicking the... dirt...? Denting... Ehh - anyway, an action duel! Just you and me having a fun time.

[personal profile] gareki 2015-03-29 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She looks so proud of herself.

Gareki was going to make fun of her again, but he stops. Then he sighs. ]

That's a lot more than what I had expected.
psycholawgy: ([muffled op song in the distance])

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-03-30 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
[ what now, gareki. impressed? ]

I actually have some readings to do, but I can do some studying later. Now's a good afternoon to relax.

[ except now, they're not even watching the movie anymore... so much for a break. ]
ridethathippo: (Look at this cutie)

[personal profile] ridethathippo 2015-03-30 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Reluctant at first, Yuya eventually sinks to the ground with a slight chuckle at Judai's attempt at the chant. He's not quite ready to remove his goggles though.]

Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters. [He let's out a sigh before bringing up his knees to his chest.] We'd have to use ViViD-- the virtual immersion place, in order to have solid holograms for an action duel... Maybe another time though? I-- I don't want to start acting weird again. I want to bring smiles to everyone, like Yuto wanted, but I'm not sure if I could do right that now.

[A real smile eventually comes into focus even with his goggles obscuring his eyes:] I definitely want to duel you sometime, though.
sunshied: (11)

[personal profile] sunshied 2015-03-30 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that how you got here?
gareki: tsunkuuyandere (028)

[personal profile] gareki 2015-04-01 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
This movie is far from relaxing though.

[ Even if they aren't watching it, they're not missing much.

He'd complain and ask for his money back if it weren't for the fact that the movies were free to watch. ]
psycholawgy: (someone said psychology AGAIN)

[personal profile] psycholawgy 2015-04-01 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
It was weird, huh?

[ Gareki's right. It definitely wasn't relaxing. ]
