delita likes edgeworth. he's not like, delita's favorite person, but if they were on myspace edgeworth would definitely be in his top eight. part of this is because edgeworth has mastery over law (not literal mastery, but... you know what i mean), and the way he approaches things is a hell of a lot different than anything that exists in ivalice. while ivalice is progressive in a lot of ways (cases in point: agrias, meliadoul) it's also got a whole bunch of really screwed up medieval stuff going like how nobility is viewed, and the fact that edgeworth doesn't just... like.
he's not just going through law stuff because it's his job; he seems to genuinely believe in what he's doing. a sort of idealism, maybe, even if edgeworth doesn't strike him as the type to be doing that. he's definitely not... idk, shirouesque blindly idealistic?
but it's cool to see, and he also appreciates that edgeworth knows shit outside of his feel. swordfighting lawyer? totes cool. they're not bestest buddies but delita would be totally cool with edgeworth as a comrade (eventually) rather than just an acquaintance who he's learning stuff from.
edgeworth better be ready to be schooled in swordfighting though.
