First impressions first: Vietnam really was super impressed by Kaoru? Like sure she thinks of him as a yamamto nadeshiko the whole time, but he welcomed her and told her almost everything she needed to know about this place, so she trusts him a lot. Normally her bullshit radar is not this broken, because Kaoru's just so good at his art B( Even then she would be able to pick up on crap and her trust could waver.

BUT THEN all the coming meet ups kind of just sealed it for her? Vietnam by now is probably close to inserting Kaoru into her important list of family members, which is...sad.......for Vietnam, great for Kaoru. But just like him, she hasn't showed everything about herself yet so he's going to be in for a surprise 8) Kaoru's only done her good though, so she would bend over backwards for him. Like I mentioned ages ago, Kaoru can reveal himself to be a dude and she after the shock of it (cos damn he good), as long as he has a great story to back it up (which we all know he would), she wouldn't even question it and accept him wholly. God she would even hide his secrets for him.

Also she might judge him for his shady business but there's a reason why a lot of her friends are thugs.................ah.

Natalia and Vietnam first. OKAY SO VIETNAM MAY have met Natalia at a whacked up time, but somehow she got out of that rather unscathed. Which means she only witnessed Natalia's good qualities, that of which she admires a lot. Granted, she is going to be so confused when they go have tea, because Natalia is a lot more chill now, but it's not like it was a bad thing at all? Vietnam would even say that at the time, Natalia did nothing wrong (to her). She got good advice and all!, so she would try to stop Natalia from apologising to her. And if anything, she'd encourage making it up with more tea outings B)

This is one of those cases where you make your best friends in the middle of a battle LOL. Vietnam really appreciates Ryuko? Technically they've only just met but having went through TERRIFYING SHIT together, it's so character building that she considers Ryuko a pretty decent friend already, and one of her first good friends here. And since she understands the science behind Senketsu better (or at least, she accepts it), she won't even bat an eyelid whenever Ryuko talks to Senketsu. Now they just need to have a Normal Day which is what we're going to do. YEEAAAAH. 100% would hang out with Ryuko for lunch and everything. Next time she's going to make sure she has a weapon with her and then they can take down armies of Astors (oh my god that a nightmare).

But yes, Ryuko is squeezing her way into Vietnam's family list pretty nicely B) At least she's not as crazy as the Mankanshoku family SO...

SHIRASU YOU ARE LIKE SURROUNDED BY SO MUCH ZEN? Seriously she felt so comfortable at the cafe since he's just super chill and nice and calming. Also his attempts at French is super cute, so if he needs help with it, she's there for him 8)

But yes I think she would want to continue pursuing this friendship just because he's really levelheaded and nice? Like she will go to the cafe more frequently just to catch up with him, because it looks like he doesn't mind her socially awkward self. And hells yeah she'll be cooking for him once she finds out he's like England 2.0 She wouldn't even mind if he shoves silver sticks to test for poison while she's not looking, dear lord.

From the one chapter I've read so far as well, she would probably be impressed by his badass, but I have no idea about this PAST HE HAS so I'll have to see soon /shifty.

HELLO NEW FRAND.

She really likes Yang? Yang is like a cheerful sun. And she sure as heck loves cheerful suns. She's really easy to get along with, which makes it easy for Vietnam to talk to her. Also they share a lot of things in common, like hand to hand fighting, motorbikes (hell yeah). She really wants to learn more about Yang's world too, because it's so different to hers that she'd really want to know, especially combat schools. Sounds like something she would've been really into!

Show her your weapons properly later too, Yang...(not a weapon geek like Ruby she swears).

First impression is that not only is he super bubbly, he's also very overwhelming. And just confident. And probably has no mouth filter. But he's really charismatic and adventurous that Vietnam can't help but feel drawn to him? Not to mention said adventurousness lead to Vietnamese cooking, which is something like damn boy, let's cook together because she wants to taste you cooking. She'll even teach him stuff should he ever get that whim to learn again. Once she finds out, she'd totally love to hear him play guitar and sing too 8(

Since this Edgeypoo is a CRAU, it'll be really interesting to see her reaction when she finds out he's a raging badass as well as a lawyer! That's pretty much country-level? Be in some form of politics and then have kick ass techniques to go with it (unless you're Italy). So she probably will be able to relate to him a lot and ask him for advice, especially since he's also a Word of the Law.

Good you asked for emotions cos boy does she have many.

The war itself was a mixed back of shit, and despite beating America in it, she was also seeking his help at the same time. Her independence from France was also inspired by America's revolution anyway (see: her own declaration of independence being super similar to America's). So admiration turned into some kind of triumphant regret: she's pleased it all succeeded in the end (and she whooped his butt), but she's also sad that in a way, he left her. BUT since she did beat him and things are turning out awwwriiight at home now, she's moved on from these war feelings much faster than he did (poll says one of the Asian countries with a high approval rating of America is Vietnam, and this is recently omg). She wants to be good friends with him, and fix all this awkwardness because they will have to eventually since they're colleagues. It's just that she's slightly scary (slightly?!), socially awkward, and doesn't want to encourage his lofty behaviour so it's really freaking hard.

That and she does kind of like this power she has over him to make him do her bidding by just asking super nicely /quotation marks. It's not going to change for a while...
