She's probably always going to feel guilty about bossing him around when neither of them were in their right minds, but she's determined to make amends-- whether it's just bringing him sweets on occasion or having tea with him. It's already occurred to her that she still knows very little about him, but she understands not wanting to talk about the past, so until Shirasu decides to talk about things (aka never) she won't be asking for more details.

Truthfully, Mary wonders if he can even be truthful with himself, but has ultimately decided that whenever he shows up and helps her, she'll thank him and find a way to point out that yes, this is something nice that he's doing, so he can't deny it.

... As well as the misunderstand (or truth??) that he and Sousei were partners so as good as married, and she thinks that's a good choice, because she's already seen that Tenka can be reckless when it comes to risking himself or fighting for others, and she thinks that Sousei could definitely keep him in line.
Obviously, she knows that Tenka's strong, which is why she gets upset when he tells her he'll protect her and not to worry, because she's lost family before, because she was protected. She doesn't ever want to find herself in a position where she loses someone else because she messed up, and it scares her. Tenka, in her mind, is true family - which is why she was so distraught and conflicted about telling him the truth because if he rejected her, she wouldn't be able to call him that anymore - and she wants him safe. So in the end, she was relieved that he offered to stand back a bit and let her try to grow, with the reassurance that she still wouldn't be alone. She admires Tenka a lot, after all! She wants to be a little sister worthy of that much.

(She won't, but she likes to imagine it.)
ANYWAY
It didn't take long for Sousei to earn her admiration, and knowing that he's Tenka's ~*PRECIOUS PARTNER*~ she admires him even more now, because anyone that her Aniki loves has got to be awesome. So when he gives her words of advice, she has to snap to attention and listen very carefully, because surely his advice will help her in the long run. And truthfully, because she respects him, she doesn't want to be someone who will disappoint him, and when he said "make yourself of worth", she figured that meant "make it so you can be useful in any way possible", so she's working through her timidity to try and accomplish that with varying levels of success. She really does wonder if she frustrates him at times, because he's had to help her out before and he doesn't really smile, so it makes her all the more flustered and determined to prove herself.
It's a sad, sad cycle.

God, she was so initially confused at first, as to why he made his friend answer the question about condoms, and she is still faintly baffled as to their relationship, because it seems kind of painful for Andy?? Hyoubu seems like the playful sort, too, so she's got her I WON'T LET YOU TEASE ME guard up after all of the bug teasing.
But there's also a sense of kinship there, because Hyoubu actually guessed (or knew) that she wasn't entirely normal (Normal??) before she said yes or no, and he seemed to know exactly what she was so afraid of. Granted, he could just read her mind and learn about how she'd been viewed as a monster and her mother had been killed due to trying to protect her, but maybe she'll tell him one day. She's bound and determined to only use her power when it's absolutely necessary, and even then, she's likely to apologize for it (unless she uses it to get someone to stop giving her grief, in which case no regrets whatsoever). So he may have his work cut out for him in the process of getting her to use it more often.

Who she hardly knows, and still doesn't know that she'd met him (via text) before she met him for the interview. He seems like a good person to work for, even if the outfit is horrendously hard to move in, and the hamburger still tastes like paper-- but she wouldn't mind getting to know him better and of course she'll still try to improve so she's not an inconvenience.
