TOTSUKAAAAA okay first impressions for Oz first. HE LIKES TOTSUKA (and no one was surprised) and wants to get to know him better!! He seems like a good-hearted guy and since Oz likes Yata so much he basically automatically likes anyone that Yata respects or is friends with. He also seems like the kind of person who would cheerfully jump onto the S.S. Trollmaggedon which automatically makes him an excellent person in Oz's eyes. What's life without a little merciless teasing of friends?? EMPTY AND BARREN OF JOY that's what. So expect Oz to be harassing him more in the future he's coming for you with the friendship battering ram

As far as Kaoru is concerned, Totsuka is a useless lump... LMFAO. OR WHAT'S THAT SAYING, "jack of all trades, master of none"?? SOMETHING LIKE THAT... Basically Kaoru thinks he's probably good at a lot of things but not really good at anything that's aCTUALLY IMPORTANT. Sure, it's nice to know someone who can fix his kimono or cook or whatever, but what good is Totsuka beyond that? HE JUST DOESN'T KNOW. He's assuming that his only saving grace is the fact that he's really good at random common household tasks. It's a shame that Kaoru is also good at most of the same things so ?! EVEN THEN, TOTSUKA IS LARGELY USELESS...

re: personality, he actually doesn't have a really good read on him yet? WHICH IS STRANGE because normally Kaoru can read people like books, since that was a skill necessary to his survival growing up. But for Totsuka, the only thing he really has is "nice, accommodating, cheerful" WHICH IS REALLY VAGUE?! He hasn't realized it consciously yet but he's put on his guard by Totsuka's personality because it seems pretty close to Kaoru's own outward personality, so naturally he's like "what are you hiding." He knows there's more than meets the eye here!! He just doesn't know whether ~the lurking Totsuka~ is benevolent or malevolent.

THAT SAID, he's currently not interested enough to try figuring it out... HE'S SO RUDE I'M SORRY TOTSUKA. But yeah since Totsuka doesn't rank very high on the list of people who are potentially useful, Kaoru doesn't really want to expend the time or energy necessary to get to know him better. He's pretty content with just remaining distant acquaintances and occasionally calling him up for help with various tasks because WHY NOT right, might as well continue to establish his presence as resident Decent Neighbor...
