Ryuko's personality is a bit gruff to her, but she finds it rather endearing and genuine since it doesn't seem like Ryuko is a dishonest person, at least in her opinion. Ai's appreciative of it to say the least!
That being said, Ai's looking forward to developing this friendship and getting to do stuff she wasn't really able to do as a young girl. ALMOST NORMAL FRIENDS YAY

Archer... oh, Archer...
Like many people, Ai acknowledges that he seems fairly skilled and good at the things he does, but god does he not endear himself with the shit he says!! For Ai, she can't tell whether Archer is looking at her with disdain or trying to help her. At least Rin told her that his way of helping is being a jerk and such and when she learned that, Ai... IS EVEN MORE UNSURE.
They're at the point where they kinda sorta don't understand each other deeply above the surface level. Archer doesn't know Ai's background and she doesn't know about his sad past and the reasons why he acts as he does though at least Rin's got her thinking about it. Honestly though, his needling probably is somewhat healthy for her because she hasn't met anyone else in cerealia that really grinds at her nerves like Archer. Getting angry/annoyed/exasperated is cathartic every once and a while and it makes her see her other flaws more easily and makes her want to improve more just so he can shut his face!!
tl;dr she doesn't and can't really hate him, he cooks good, but can get super frustrating

God she will be so thrown off and probably embarrassed when she finds out the truth. If anything, their CR definitely holds potential for reasons you've already covered and it'd be a good learning experience for Ai about how far people will go to hide their true natures and how she's no different from one easily manipulated person to the next. How she'd react is another thing altogether so let's see where this goes o/

And I think that's the important thing that factors into this CR kind of like with Ryuko- acceptance! Ai's so used to her own people looking down at her for the way she acts that she's usually just complacent in that matter, but with Athena who accepts her as a friend... Well, it just means a lot! Ai hopes she can live up to being a good buddy even if she has to navigate the waters herself ;+;
