So, Sousei. This is a lot of what we've talked about previously, but I'll do my best to make it as long and unreadable as possible!
Simplest way to put it is that Shirasu doesn't like Sousei because Sousei is Yamainu, and also because Sousei doesn't like him. He's just paying back the favor. Being a member of the Yamainu encompasses opposition to the Orochi, opposition to the Fuuma, and being a tool of the bad government that's making his clan's survival difficult. Ninja thrive in chaos, not order. Plus, Sousei has a rotten personality, as far as he's concerned.
All of that would be enough... except for the part where it's not. Shirasu's inability to stand Sousei goes way beyond professional dislike. Shirasu spent ten years listening to Tenka talk about the Yamainu and how Sousei turned his back on him. Tenka didn't hold a grudge, so Shirasu took it on for him. That grudge only got worse when after so long apart, Sousei called Tenka a traitor. Now that they're in forced contact in Cerealia, the grudge is being force fed by the fact Shirasu is so jealous of Sousei it makes him sick. After ten years of shunning him, that Sousei steps in and takes Shirasu's place as Tenka's confidant drives Shirasu nuts. The finer points of this are completely unrealized; Shirasu just feels irrational hatred for Sousei whenever he's around, which he justifies by--
Actually blaming Sousei for not dying when his twin tried to kill him. Shirasu's own feelings of guilt and loss over his brother's death just mix with the hypocritical Tenka-related jealousy and Sousei gets the short end of the stick. If Sousei had just died, too, then his twin's death wouldn't have been so completely meaningless. Shirasu regrets making the promise to Tenka that he's not going to harm Sousei without reason -- and he's smart enough to know that "I hate him" is not enough of a reason. He'd honestly love to shove a blade right into Sousei's eye.
