[Maybe ironically, Sousei knows the Kumou family significantly better than his own. But maybe it's not so surprising, when that was the family that took him in. Either way, he does know that name, and it causes him to blink, for a moment legitimately surprised.

But then again... if the Shinsengumi are here, why not Tenka's ancestors from the distant past...? Also, how is he supposed to even explain that to this guy. (And does that mean that Abe no Hirari was his ancestor?)

Regardless, Sousei's respectful enough to remove his hat, pressing it to his chest. He doesn't really bow or lower his head, but it's a respectful gesture nonetheless.]


... It's an honor. [Probably. Even if there's also the thought in his head that this is two Kumou now that have started to accuse him of stealing his own family sword. Honestly. Kumou.]

But I understand now. Abe no Hirari would be my ancestor, then. [Time shenanigans, what fun.] It has been some time since your era.
