I didn't get to tag Raven's post about Darin since Minato came in second place in a fight with the stairs, but since he's had an evil (???) and omnipotent being sealed into him before he'd be interested in helping Darin out, especially since Darin can also re-pay him in the form of better equipment.

There's also bonus awkward since Minato has Personas related to angels and demons, and he'll insist to the end that the fact that these are facets of himself doesn't mean he's the result of an unholy union between an angel and demon for real*.

* Assuming that happens.

I really like this arrangement a whole lot and I genuinely want to see what kind of ~~social link~~ CR could be built from this. Especially since Darin's still pretty unsure of his place in the grand scheme of things and what he could possibly do to help anyone with his abilities.

I guarantee you Darin will want to see some Personas because the goodball will probably take notes/make sketches.

So basically, yes please I would love this very much and I'm totally open to getting this CR rolling

He didn't see it coming, and he really doesn't want to talk about how he missed twenty or so steps looming ahead of him with 20/20 vision.

Minato will definitely be looking for weapons once he's back from the tower investigation, and with the likelihood that he and his friends destroyed some of their cutlery he'll also be coming buy to get some spoons and forks, maybe even chopsticks. It may depend on Darin to talk about his issues first since Minato has no issue about his powers, but once he knows about that he'd only be too happy to help.

And yes, appreciate them Personas! :3

Actually, that's a pretty solid plan. Darin's magic centers on creation so he might be trying to forge something by just touching it and screwing it up hilariously, because his life is nothing but a parade of stunning failures.

Which, Darin will naturally try and bullshit his way out of when Minato catches him.

To Minato it'd be like seeing Junpei, if Junpei had an evil being sealed into him and went into blacksmith work instead.

This sounds solid, and once the tower investigation date is confirmed I can hit up Darin's inbox for a thread! Would I be correct in saying he's advertised his smithy before?

Absolutely, he's so overly confident about his wares he was hyping his shop up from day 1. He's entirely too obnoxious about it.

And in light of recent events, he's been offering discounts to people who want to arm themselves in case the city goes screwy again

That's perfect on both counts, as Minato has been plagued with money problems since he stepped foot in Cerealia (Fun fact: He went bankrupt on the very first day) and he would have noted Darin's advertisement as a potential S.Link.

If things go extremely well with training he might suggest trying to create things like weapons and armor with elemental properties but first we'll see how well that goes!

That would be awesome since he just recently saw Lavellan make a set of ice armor and he basically lost his mind at how awesome it was.

By endgame, I'd like for him to have enough mastery of his abilities to be able to link up with some elements that someone else could provide. Either way, I'm game to see where this goes!

That also works well with Minato since he has multiple elements at his command and he's practicing so he can summon his Personas without an Evoker, and hey, discounted superior armor is always awesome ~~more awesome if he can get it for free, but we can't all be winners here~~.
