TL;DR RELATIONSHIP ❤ MEME ① List all the characters you play. ② People reply with CR they truly, madly, deeply want to know about. ③ Tl;dr on character relationships. First impressions count too! ④ ??? ⑤ Harvest all that tl;dr!
As you mentioned, the two kids haven't had much time to interact, so Hikari's opinions are relatively limited. She does think he's a nice boy. Definitely not familiar with Digimon themselves, but at the same time...familiar with something like them. He was also someone she quickly found could be trusted. Someone who COULD have hurt her, but deliberately chose not to. It was that moment of kindness that stuck out most in her mind. The fact that he chose alliance with an unfamiliar face over violent preemptive self-defense. It spoke a lot about his character to her.
Hikari > Nico
He seems...sad. But also quite kind and notably protective. Not unlike how her brother and close friends want to keep her safe, he definitely gave off a brotherly aura in the way he looked after her during the carnival. She also thought his Cerebus companion was a little like a digimon, even though she knows it wasn't. She's quite curious about him, but far too reserved to ask many questions outright.
Iris > Nico
Her first impression of Nico was having him pick her up after being knocked down during a parade. Taking time to make sure she was alright.
Their conversation about Iris' story was also...quite telling. And bittersweetly so. He seemed to take many of her plot points and the way the story developed a bit personally, and she couldn't help wonder why. (Though it was also cute how they both liked the Prince character most) And, like he said, the story did have something of a happen ending. Something which, I'm sure, they're both looking for.
