Despite their ages, Iris definitely looks to Rei as an equal, if not "older" figure. Her maturity and experience allows her to project an aura of wisdom far past her physical age, and combined with Iris' former sheltered naivete, it's not wonder that she looks UP to Rei.

Besides that, she also feels incredibly honored that Rei trusted her enough to willingly share her secret.
