Felicia is basically the best thing Yuna could ask for in a living partner. She's sweet and listens, and doesn't press or pry about her home much. She's also clueless, and that helps Yuna feel better, knowing she's not the only one!
Merlin is her friend and she trusts him. This is a huge deal for her, because he's a boy around the same age as her. She's unforgiving and unkind to most teenage boys, in part because of past issues and in part because she can read their thoughts and knows when they want to bone her. Merlin? doesn't. And that means a lot to her.
He's reliable, sweet, and kind. Not at all what she expected out of him, but that doesn't mean anything. He's a good person, and worthy! Even if he is extremely pigheaded and thick at times. He's one of her best friends in Cerealia, and he got there a lot quicker than any of the others. It's nice, and she's grateful for him.
Yuna on Merlin:
He seems very sweet, and she really doesn't know what to make of him. Because she's aware he's not telling her something (like why his eyes glowed in the desert) but she doesn't want to press. He's nice though, and Yuna wants to help him where she can!
Takeru is a nice boy. He's someone she wants to keep safe and protect, and basically is her model for everything that's wrong with Cerealia. he should be home with his friends and family, not here. He's also pretty brave, and really mature though, so that's impressive.
Rei on Mabel:
Lord, Mabel is just...Mabel. Rei wants to take her, give her a hug, and never let go. She adores Mabel as much as she does Takeru. The thing is though, she wants to protect Mabel more because unlike him she's...a lot brighter and a lot less mature. Hence the ice cream instead of pressing the hard issues. She'll fight to the death for Mabel's safety, though.
Yusuke is a really strange person, because he's very sensitive at times, and a complete ass at others. She wants to loosen up around him, and she wants to actually get to know him, but he makes that very hard with off color remarks like the one that really set her off. She figured he'd know better, since she was kind of grieving for a lost love (who is also a girl and she figured he'd take that hint too) at the time.
However, in a weird way? she's growing to respect him because he's actually got similar talents to her own. Probably the closest she's run into here in Cerealia outside of a few departed characters who were direct descendants of Abe no Sousei. She's interested to get to know what he can do better, and she appreciates that he comes to her for information and to share it. He's an ally at the very least, and someone she feels could become a friend, even if she'd keep him at arms length for a while.
Rei really likes Yuri. A lot. She is actually really glad to have run into her, and while the circumstances aren't great? She's pretty grateful to have ended up in her group. Yuri's nice, and a little tragic, but also absolutely fascinating. It's good to see someone holding up the old ways, and wanting to bring the dead a proper rest instead of being like any other modern girl. Yuri's someone she'll fight to protect, and she already respects her immensely. It helps that Yuri's kinda cute, but it's more that she's clearly capable and pretty brave.
She does wish though, that Yuri placed a higher value on her own life.
Really? Yuna just doesn't understand Raven. At all. He's got the gravitas of an older man, but the only old dudes in her life are her dad, Auron (who has no sense of humor, and Jecht. In a lot of ways, she's reminded of Jecht. That's actually a good thing, because unlike Tidus? She's seen Jecht's good side.
Not because of her personality. Rei has dealt with bombastic, egotistical loudmouths before. She met Gilgamesh and Vegeta, after all. What's strange about her is how warm she is. Rei was pretty immediately taken by Nero, in part because she is good looking and Rei admires beautiful girls She likes blondes, if her shipping history is any indication and wants to see more of that, but there's way more going on. Nero is the last person she'd expect to be the Emperor of Rome, basically. She's somewhat aware of the reputation that Nero garnered, as a cruel and selfish person but nothing about this one has given her any indication of selfishness. She's proclaimed love, proven that she's capable of empathy, and shows a great deal of sincerity she wouldn't expect from a politician. And Rei knows politicians. Her father is the head of Japan's Liberal Party, and he's a lying, cheating bastard. Just like Nero's momma.
Nero being a servant is more or less just an interesting tidbit, though she's curious about her adventures as a heroic spirit. She's a friend, possibly, but also a potential headache.
Rei's expressed her feelings multiple times through word and deed. She loves Usagi as a sister, and will protect her from any possible threat. she'll kill for her, and be the best damn guard she can be.
However, Usagi is...still Usagi. She annoys Rei, and this time even moreso, because of the age gap. She doesn't fault her for it, she's just more or less getting strong nostalgia vibes from her and that's both good and a bit of a pain. It just makes her more likely to tease, of course.
Rei really doesn't know what to make of Honey Lemon. She has an inclination to like her? Because of Usagi-reminders, and because she's obviously intelligent and means something to Hiro, but she doesn't really know her yet.
Rei respects Iris, though she's got a strange feeling like their ages are actually reversed. She thinks Iris is a lot of fun to be around and talk to, but she feels (and is) really sheltered. In a way, that makes it easier to interact with her as more of an equal rather than as an elder.
She wants to help Iris out, and she really values her input, basically.
Mostly? This version of Grell is a VAST improvement over the previous one. She honestly likes her, even if they did disagree that one time. She doesn't really know what to make of her talk of the drabwurld, but she's definitely interested in knowing more. Plus the heart-crystal similarities are really interesting for her too.

Also, Puu is cute. But weird.
