SOOOO Chibi definitely respects Koumei and thinks of him as... well, not quite an equal (he's still mortal, so far as Chibi knows), but an intellectual equal at least. if there's CERES news of absolute importance, especially re: world-destroying, Koumei would probably be one of the first people Chibi'd think to tell. besides that... they share some sense of duty and some similar interests, so there's definitely common ground and mutual respect there!

but besides that, and besides the general "oh, young men, never know what they're doing with themselves," Chibi definitely has some respect for Merlin and wants to learn more about how magic works in his world! they ought to get a drink and share stories sometime, he thinks.

AHHHH WE NEED TO THREAD... but most of the stuff I've said on them before still applies. Chibi is still grateful to Ruby for reaching out to him when he's needed it most, for making him feel a little less lonely. and so Ruby'll always be his little buddy in that regard. besides that, he wants to know more about her world! about things like what semblance is, what her powers are from, that cool scythe...

also if Hiro does anything untoward to her he'll rip his face off, he doesn't care if he's a kid

Chrollo is kind of unnerving to him! but he seems ??trustworthy?? and he seems on top of seedy underworld things, which makes him a good ally to have. Chibi wouldn't consider him a friend, but he would consider him one of the first people to go to when it comes to getting anti-CERES stuff done, as opposed to just talking about it.

as for Grell, it's colored by his experiences with the past Grell, admittedly. he's still getting used to them being different people (but still very much the same), but he can still tell that it's the same competent, graceful Grell. (and the same one who England trusted! any friend of England is a friend of his.) he wants to know more about her weird magic and where the hell she got it, mostly, but also sort of wants to get a drink with her and bitch about colony glitches and boyfriends and shit like that.

which isn't a bad thing! as Chibi sees it, it can be a good motivator. but he definitely sees her as a naive young woman, albeit a very competent one and one who's good at making friends. (and the 'good at making friends' part is a very big thing.) it's surprising to learn she's a lawyer, because the first people he'd associate with 'upholding law' are his lover from home, who is a very stoic woman, and her angry dragon brother. he'd love to learn more about her and chat more, in any case... and someday find out she's dating Merlin and tease the fuck out of them both. it's what old men do for fun.

Chibi on Hiro first!! the kid's smart as a whip, and he's motivated, too; Chibi has a lot of respect for what he's accomplished at such a young age. (the motivated part - and the slight naivete - remind him of Yugo, the young man he chose as his successor as king. that's hiiiigh praise.) I'm sure I said most of it on the last tl;cr thread or plurk or wev, but Chibi is definitely looking forward to working with Hiro more.
