With new additions to the game (and this very bright and cheery Interlude), this meme is here for you to have a chance to fill all those details in! Does your character have an accent? Imanotsurugi
HEIGHT: 134cm or 4ft
WEIGHT/BUILD: Around 60lb? He's short and skinny, but pretty healthy otherwise.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: With red eyes like ripe cherries, dark silver hair that's incredibly long, and a usually carefree expression, he looks like a small youkai for the superstitious or cute kid for adults, perhaps even both. He's a tantou spirit with the theme of a tengu, or crow demon (because his owner was supposedly trained by one with Imano in hand).
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Manners what manners this bird doesn't give a- okay he doesn't like to stand or sit straight, so he's often leaning at some angle. As for movement, it's light but deliberate and he's quite playful. Can probably hop onto something or someone without warning.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: He has a boyish, but usually lighthearted tone of voice. When he's tired or annoyed, his tone is lower but the speed stays the same. There's a lilt to his voice no matter the mood he's in.
FASHION: Think "middle schooler's gym clothes", he likes anything loose and easy to wear. For color preferences he likes pastels over dark colors, but dark colors and neutrals over too-bright colors. He likes jewelry though; bracelets and anklets are his favorite.

Eiji Hino
HEIGHT: 5'11"
WEIGHT/BUILD: Lean, but fairly muscular--he's a little thin from terrible food options the last two months just before arriving in Cerealia (choice between powdered food and liquid food), but he's going back to normal.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: He's a fairly average-sized young man, fairly average build, with dark brown hair that could really use a good brush-through and probably a professional trim. As far as differences from canon, his eyes would normally be brown if not for his last game deciding he needed eye surgery, so now he's got purple eyes. And a prominent scar running the length of the inside of his arm and his palm. Also if he's shirtless (and for some reason, he hasn't ended up in his underwear yet and this needs to be rectified), there's a faint scar on his back from getting stabbed. Yay, CRAU!
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Eiji tends to move at a fairly relaxed pace, though he walks with long strides. When he is rushing, however, his steps are closer together, what with going faster and all. As far as fighting is concerned, he tends to favor kicks, and he learned some taekwondo and a little kendo in his last game, so he's got a little more polish behind it...though when he uses a sword, it's still mostly slash all over the place. He also really likes physical contact, especially holding hands, but his grip in his left hand is a little affected by the scarring, so it won't be quite as tight. His smiles vary--he can have a huge smile that lights up his whole face, but he also smiles where it doesn't reach his eyes because he fakes it a lot to try to keep from bothering people with his problems.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Okay, so Eiji grew up rich, in a family of politicians, but he does not sound like you'd expect from that kind of background at all. He talks like someone from a lower middle class background, but that's likely because he wanders around all over the place and interacts with people below his original social station. And he gets excited over cute things and gives little nicknames (one of his candroids back home is "Una"--the Unagi candroid) His voice can get a little hoarse at times, like he's congested, but it's not too deep. He does trail off at times, but he's generally polite and he has a tendency to apologize for things he shouldn't really be apologizing for (namely when he gets involved in something nobody asked him to). Ankh is about the only one he doesn't do this with, but it's not like he's always entirely honest with him either, since that's the last person he can talk frankly with about his emotions. And he can get really salty too, but he saves that for Ankh, usually.

He does get evasive about certain topics, but he's too polite to shut down the line of conversation altogether. Usually if you call him out on hiding something, he'll come clean, since he's bad at putting what he wants (or doesn't want) first and will do what others ask. He is also terrible about picking up on flirting or any discussion of romance less direct than "this person loves this person," and he will commit some kind of social faux pas or just utterly fail to know what to do.
FASHION: Oh god, if CERES can have actual fashion police arrest people, Eiji will end up in prison for life! He looks like he's been dumpster diving behind a thrift store. The boy needs a full-time fairy godmother. In fact, the nicest thing he ever wore was for a student fashion show, and even that had varied colors and textures.

He loves bright colors and exciting patterns, but this translates to way too much tie dye and clashing...well, everything. And his pants are usually drawstring and too big, since he really loves loose clothing. He wears a lot of layers, frequent scarves (one of which one of his best friends made him), and I don't think he knows that he can wear an actual winter jacket, since he has a couple of lighter jackets and some more scarves and a couple of shawls. And despite his hang-ups about his purple eyes, he does like purple and wears it a lot, along with a lot of red...sometimes, unfortunately, at the same time. Since he works at the department store, they have definitely showed him what colors and cuts of clothes he has to wear there, so he's basically wearing a uniform. And his shoes are either boots or sandals. Nothing in-between.

He also always wears a leather bracelet on his left wrist, but because of the scarring, he's starting to add a couple other bracelets--basically all handmade stuff.

Yusuke Urameshi
HEIGHT: Probably around 5'8, give or take an inch or two!
WEIGHT/BUILD: About 130-140 lbs, given his height? He's lean and pretty fit, built like a dude who's gotten into his fair share of street fights.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Yusuke looks a bit scrawny at first glance, give how lanky and lean he is, but he's about as muscular as most shonen protags without being too beefy, with decently broad shoulders! He has a bit of a baby-face, with softer cheeks, a wide mouth and fairly large brown eyes ~~which makes him too goddamn moe for a punk like him~~, which are self-described as 'deep and penetrating'. Despite that, he's really good at making the most of his expressions and body-language to intimidate people and look tough!! He usually keeps his black hair combed back into a typical delinquent pompadour in an effort to look more bad-ass, but it's fairly fluffy and flippy when unstyled and it's been joked a few times in the series that he's almost completely unrecognizable when it's like that. There's a number of scars on his body from previous battles, most noticeably a puncture wound above his heart from Sensui, a jagged tear on his right shoulder from where Raizen bit him, and a bullet wound on his abdomen from where Kazuya!Sensui shot him in the gut :C There's fainter bullet wounds on his arms and legs from the same incident, and slight scars on his heels from his knife edge fight with Chuu as well, but those first three are the most noticeable.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Yusuke has surprisingly good posture, always keeping his back straight and head high in order to make himself look bigger/tougher, thoooough he does also have a tendency to slouch when he's moody?? He also has a tendency to stuff his hands in his pockets while he walks, as well as put them on his hips or cross his arms when he's grumpy or trying to pay attention to something. When he's deep in thought (or... as deep as Yusuke can get, tbh), he usually places his hand on his chin or lips, and tends to scratch his cheek when he's feeling either sheepish or curious. He holds himself with a lot of confidence and energy, and he can take up a lot of space and get very physical when his emotions get riled up, like marching with his arms akimbo or bonking someone on the head when he's annoyed, or pouncing on someone because he's relieved to see them, and etc. He's also really expressive too!
VERBAL MANNERISMS: His voice is kind of deep? Not 'rumbling, manly deep', but not quite a voice you'd expect from a guy his age, at any rate. He has a tendency to rant, as well as a tendency to edge in some sort of sassy quip or two in most situations, and while he can be controlled and even when the situation calls for it (like when things get serious or heavy)... most of the time he's loud, loud, and MORE LOUD. Like he yells WAY more than he needs to, and probably screams about as much too. He definitely leans more towards 'scrappy punk' in terms of clarity and vocabulary, with lots of contractions, informal language, and cursing (boy does he curse), and he's about as blunt as a board to the face. There's lots of cocky energy to his speech, though, and he's quick to volley back a flippant retort without a second thought. (Also he has an infectious, snickery sort of laugh and it's great) Here's a good scene with a range of his voices (feat. Puu), as well as Yusuke being a sassmaster and Yusuke being a complete and utter DICK.
FASHION: THERE IS AN ACTUAL BLOG DEDICATED TO WHAT LITTLE FUCKS PEOPLE IN YYH GIVE TO FASHION-- but, in all seriousness, Yusuke doesn't put much thought into what he wears and it's glaringly obvious 8( (being from the early 90's didn't exactly help either) He favors things that are cheap, comfortable and easy to fight in, like loose T-shirts, jeans (bonus points if they're hideously tight and high on the crotch WE SEE U MOM JEANS URAMESHI), jackets and sneakers, and he occasionally layers, which would be nice if he knew how to color coordinate. There does seem to be a conscious effort to pick something he thinks looks cool or tough, though (like deliberately making his school uniform green), and he does take the time to style his hair every morning, so there is SOME effort in, but... not where it counts, SOBS. (also he doesn't seem all that bothered by being shirtless, so that's a thing too) Here is a collage of terrible Yusuke life choices for those who are curious.

#MAJESTIC

Kashuu Kiyomitsu
HEIGHT: 165cm or about 5'5"
WEIGHT/BUILD: Around 115-120 pounds! He's very slender and not super muscular, but all swords have some general Warrior Beef. That said, he is definitely not the beefiest, probably because he's allergic to manual labor.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Kashuu is a noodle who Just Wants To Be Cute, but his artist has said that he's actually the pretty one while his partner sword Yamato is the cute one. TOUGH LUCK, PEANUT. He's thin but it's hard to tell since he covers up almost every inch of himself. His hair is a dark brown, usually stylized with red undertones, and he wears it carefully brushed out of his face and pulled into a ponytail that's kept draped over his shoulder. His eyes are red like the blood of his enemies. There aren't any notable marks or scars beyond the beauty mark below his lip and his pierced ears! He also has little moefangs.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: He generally carries himself very confidently. He's got good posture without being overly stiff or formal, makes eye contact, tends to lift his chin up, etc. Prideful without being super arrogant, basically. THAT SAID he's also an affection sponge so he will 100% drape himself on anyone he likes enough to barnacle onto, and tends to slouch when he's sitting if the situation is comfortable. He's usually a happy medium between big dramatic gestures and normal ones, and he walks very quietly. His general movements definitely reflect that he's a warrior, since he's elegant and precise without really trying to be. #littleswordthings
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Kashuu's voice is actually pretty deep! He tends to talk in a light, almost sing-songy way, and his way of speaking is typical gyaru which translates into English as a lot of cutesy slang, shortening, fluff words (like, totally, super, etc). When he's serious, he tends to drop most of the slang, since he intentionally picked it up to be extra cute. His original accent is something that shows very rarely, since having an accent from the riverbed villages was basically painting a bigass target on your back in his time, so he practiced it out. He tends to speak more softly when he's upset and mostly yells when he's frantic/flustered/irritated. If he's legitimately mad, his voice drops and he becomes Kashuu the Ice King Peanut.
FASHION: Despite all his talk about being the cutest, his wardrobe leans more toward elegance! Black, red and gold are his favorite colors, and he generally stays away from pastels and blues. He likes bold outfits with sharp lines and clean cuts and prefers things like that to floofy, over the top outfits. That said, he's also an absolute sucker for weird gimmicky fashion things... Like those glitter antennae, or light-up heelies. Or weird masks. He prioritizes looking good so he also tends to spend a whole lotta bux on clothes, accessories and personal care stuff. He doesn't wear a lot of jewelry either, but he prefers gold and likes earrings best! He also refuses to wear anything revealing and almost always has a scarf on because he's a screaming maniac about showing skin.

Also, heels. He's pretty much always in heels. He can fight in heels, he can run in heels, he'll keep those extra 3 inches if it's the last thing he does.

Dave Strider
HEIGHT: about 5'9"
WEIGHT/BUILD: about 135 lbs. (kinda scrawny)
GENERAL APPEARANCE: scarecrow joe up in here. he's still got a few inches on him left to grow, might get close to six feet when he finally stops. long limbs, especially in the legs. long torso, too. he's on the skinnier side, sort of bony, but the kind of muscle you'd expect from someone who does a whole lot of swordfightin'. his skin is generally very pale, and he tends to burn easily in the sun. there are freckles all the fuck over the place, especially across his nose/under his eyes, the tops of his shoulders and back, down the top of his arms. his hair is cornsilk blonde and very, very dense, also a bit coarse. eyebrows don't match, they thick and black as hell (how? why? who knows). shockingly, he doesn't have all that many scars, just the odd knick and cut from messing with sharp objects too much and also a crescent shaped scar near his upper right temple where he cracked his head on a cinderblock coffee table because a puppet scared the shit out of him once.

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: he's got that slouchy, shoulders back head down thumbs hooked in the pockets too cool to care posture. he has a tendency to face people directly but not look at them while talking, because he has those damn sunglasses and thinks he can get away with it. he also talks with his hands often—not all the time, but when he's really getting into his rants and tangents, there is much gesticulating. he's actually very animated, in spite of all attempts to seem reserved and restrained. that one pixel smile/pursed lips straight face thing is really... quite inaccurate. he's expressive, and actually not all that aware of just how candid he is. bobs his head and taps his foot to music a lot, even when he's not actually listening to any. and of course, there's the mad ninja skills—he can move so quickly from one spot to another ("flashstep") that it almost looks like he teleported. also, the new limitations of his Time powers function basically like a haste or a slow spell: he can speed up and slow down people and objects, but not time itself or the perception thereof. he also cannot full on stop anything for the time being. he's a tad bit jumpy, but not clumsy and pretty fluid overall.

VERBAL MANNERISMS: if you listen real close you'll find that dave has a southern sort of accent, but that urban slang tic has mostly taken over the adorable texan drawl he could have, sadly. i honestly kind of imagine dave's voice as something like a post-pubescent parappa the rapper or yuri lowenthal in one of his less crazy roles or something. YOU FUCKING KNOW IT WOULD BE YURI LOWENTHAL DONT PLAY. also, he raps. he raps a ton. he raps to himself, he raps to his friends, he raps completely unbidden to anything. he's actually... not bad? a bit aimless, but he has a pretty sick flow. the beats are kinda raw though, he's not great at beatboxing. also, he talks to himself and isn't the least bit ashamed of it, so if you find him hovering in a corner mumbling just don't worry about it. in general, he vascillates between painfully quiet and a real babbler - it all depends on how comfortable he is with whoever he's talking to. among strangers, especially more than one or two of them, he tends to be reserved, but once he gets to know someone, and especially once he's friendly with them, you cannot shut the boy up for anything.

FASHION: honestly dave mostly just wears his god tier jammies because they're comfortable as hell (hood only goes up in real special occasions). other than that, you can find him in this getup and others similar to it. graphic tees in red/white/black, skinny jeans, converse and maybe vans (daaaamn daviel, back at it again with the white vans). also hoodies, big ol giant headphones, and naturally, sunglasses. one pair of sunglasses in particular: his best friend gave them to him and they were once ben stiller's. they can see into forever. he does not do jewelry or much else in the way of accessorizing.

ETC.: i occasionally mention his timetables, used to do the timey thing: this is them. they just Appear sometimes, that's when you know some shit's going down. also, here's his legendary piece of shit sword.

Souji Okita
HEIGHT: 176 cm || 5'7''ish
WEIGHT/BUILD: lord, he's pretty tall and well-built, but his muscles are just sad when compared to Shinpachi's biceps, but all in all, probably lighter than the average for a guy his age and height. He exercises a lot, you know. You burn a lot of calories when ya go stabbing.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Souji has the luck of being from an otome game, so he's pretty attractive by rule and has fucking weird-ass features for someone who's supposed to be Japanese. But it's fine, because no one apparently thinks it's weird. He has dark brown hair that's almost always swept up into a topknot at the back of his head (because Kondou-san has one and Souji is a fcking fanboy) and it reaches his shoulders when it's loose (and wet). His eyes are light green. (Or red when he's a-murdering).

When he's a rasetsu, his hair's pure white and his eyes are blood-red.

He doesn't have any scars thanks to his inhuman healing, but he still has calluses on his hands from wielding his sword.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: He carries himself with 100% confidence, but his posture is weird in that he comes off as casual and easygoing at the same time he does alert and "always ready to stab". Like, he likes crossing his arms or resting his left hand on his hip (loser), but his shoulders are always straight and he tends to position himself in the best place to confront danger. His hand may be on his hip, but it's always next to the hilt of his sword so he can flick it out of its sheath. And he crosses his arms so that his right hand is right next to his sword, for easy stabbing. His footsteps are always very light, because he likes the faces people make when he sneaks up on them. He doesn't do hand gestures, choosing to communicate with a Raised Eyebrow or a Smirk, so if you want to read him, you better look at his face. (Though he's proficient at controlling his own expressions and going dead in the eyes, so it's difficult.) Also he can probably do a very accurate facial equivalent of the >:3 face, so take that as you will.

Besides that, he likes to smile the sort of smiles that don't actually reach his eyes, and he's a pro at smiling and death glaring at the same time. He keeps eye contact when he speaks to people (to unnerve them), but pointedly looks away when he's upset with them as if he's ruminating on things that he could be doing that isn't having to listen to them nag. He looks Frigid when he's upset, his expression often closing off immediately. He does have a temper though, and his rage shows very clearly on his face when he's Mad as hell. but more than often, he's just smiling very hard and looking like he wants to stab when he's mad, nice.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Souji rarely if ever stutters. He always speaks very clearly, but he does tend to have a light, almost lazy drawl when he's teasing people or talking as cavalierly as he usually does. Here's a voice sample. He's voiced by Morikubo Shōtarō. He likes to sound extra-light and casual when doing so will piss people off. And he never sounds serious when the situation warrants it. His tone can get pretty dry and sarcastic at times, and he'll sound extra sharp when he's upset. When he's really upset, his voice tends to get higher and shouty, but that only happens around Hijikata tbh.
FASHION: lord, Souji doesn't care about fashion at all but he's always wearing like some version of this. Yeah, that's right. He likes baring his chest, so sue him. He doesn't like restrictive clothing (unless he's ordered to wear it), and he's not very into modern fashion or accessories. at the most, he'll just have a hairtie for his topknot.

Hijikata Toshizou
HEIGHT: 5'9! Around 177 CMs ish
WEIGHT/BUILD: He's pretty muscular actually! not like, overly, but he definitely has some pretty defined muscles? because he exercises lit. everyday, he's proud of this body okay. Like... so...
GENERAL APPEARANCE: He has the bishounen curse. but actually, historically Hijikata was known to be very pretty and looking as if he was an "actor"! So him looking... very attractive isn't wrong LMAO. His hair is super long, and very outgrown because he probably hasn't trimmed it in like 5+ years and even when his hair is up in a ponytail is goes... pass his ass, to describe it bluntly. His hair is his charm point okay. He has smooth skin (minus the calluses on his hands because swordsman), and yellow eyes!
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Hijikata likes to stand proud and tall! He definitely uses his height to his advantage because he likes to look intimidating and scary to fit his "Demon Vice Commander" image. You can definitely tell he's a stiff and uptight kind of person because he never smiles, and sometimes if he does it's probably like a shit-eating or threatening??? smirk sometimes honestly. He'll always keep eye contact with you to, once again, be intimidating. But nonetheless, he's quick on the draw and when he fights his motions with his swords are well-practiced and fluid.

Though, when he's working... Well, he doesn't have the best posture in world. Honestly, he works literally so much at his desk he probably forgets about it after awhile. He actually gets a sore back pretty easily because of this, oops.

The only time you'll probably see him mostly relaxed is when he's resting after training or drinking tea, or alcohol. But he doesn't make that a habit to do around everyone, only comrades and close friends.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Hijikata is voiced by Hosoya Yoshimasa! Who is really damn good at yelling, and if there's something Hijikata does a lot is YELL. His words are blunt, rude, threatening, intimidating. He growls, orders his troops around and throws insults. Sometimes his words are curt, or he'll talk a lot of he's explaining something because he's a pretty thorough guy. It's very easy to tell when he's calm because it'll DEFINITELY sound very different from his usual tone. Same when he's being apologetic, you can tell from the tone of his voice when he means something and when he doesn't because he's always 100% honest with his feelings. He only stammers if something truly embarrasses him... Have some voice samples.
FASHION: Usually Hijikata only wears Kimonos and sandals! Although, Kashuu is ... getting him into modern clothes right now actually. He's definitely the type to wear button downs and slacks though. If there's one thing Hijikata likes to do is look good, because he actually has an ego with his looks so. Y..eah...

Harada Sanosuke
HEIGHT: 180cm / 5'11"ish
WEIGHT/BUILD: I'd guess a numerical weight at around 160lbs, give or take a few. Sano has a very solid build, thanks to all dem muscles he's got going on, but he's like a thin solid. No bodybuilder or Shinpachi body types for him. He's very healthy.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Sano has a very pleasant and handsome look about him. He's the resident reverse harem redhead, and that implies a lot of things (some of them are true), but his kind smile helps to soften most implications. He keeps his hair tied back in a low ponytail that reaches a little past his shoulders and if he were to let it down, it wouldn't go much farther. His eyes are amber and that adds to his warm appearance. Warm is a really good way to describe Sano, actually, especially when you take into account that his "color" is red. Red hair, red accents on his clothes...~~red for the blood of his enemies~~.

Speaking of clothes, he doesn't believe in shirts. He wears a white and red sarashi (the fabric around his abdomen), a bolero-like jacket with a halved circle in red on the back (his personal family crest, representing his past seppuku attempt), and grey hakama with simple sandals. He also wraps his hands and forearms with white and red cloth.

Under that sarashi is his most prized physical attribute, the big ol' scar from his aforementioned seppuku attempt right above his navel from when he was around 17 years old. It's pretty awesome now, but it hurt like a mofo back then. Not that he'll admit as much.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Sano carries himself very casually. He doesn't slouch, but he does tend to lean back when he's standing around, and either keeps his thumbs hooked into the waistband of his hakama or rests his left arm on the hilt of his sword. This lean may have something to do with the fact that he's the tallest of the captains and he might subconsciously try to get closer to everyone else's level, but that's a thought for another meme :) He also rests his spear against his shoulder when he's out, but not actively stabbing anyone. When he fights, however, his stances are always steady and alert, poised for action. He fights with his spear more than his sword, so he has a wider stance than the other gumis, but his weapon's better for longer-range fighting so he ain't scare.

He has a bit of a short fuse, so if he starts to clench his hands into fists, look out for punches being thrown on his behalf. Or, if he's more agitated than angry, he'll run his hand through his hair. Then there's the fact of whether or not he's comfortable with someone. When it comes to his friends, he's not at all afraid to drape his arm over Shinpachi's shoulders or get Heisuke in a headlock for affectionate noogies. Sano is just very handsy in general. It's easier to talk through actions sometimes than using words, especially when people don't listen.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Sano's voice is pretty even for the most part, but if he's angry or drunk, the volume does tend to go up, and if he's feeling emotionally vulnerable or sad, he'll grow more quiet. He has a deep, warm voice, one that's kind of rough around the edges and reminiscent of his punkass youth, but if he wants to fluster someone (read: women he's got his eyes on), he can turn on the suave with no hesitation. He's voiced by Yusa Kouji. It's a problem.
FASHION: Sano doesn't like tight-fitting clothes, especially around his neck (he's not fond of shirts, remember), but in Cereal he's gotten used to modern clothes, so he can also be found in looser jeans and some shirts, as long as he feels like he's not being choked by them. Again, his fashion is very casual, but he still likes to look good. Reds are still his favorite colors to dress in, but he isn't opposed to white and black and grey.

Heisuke Toudou

HEIGHT: 160cm (about 5'2”ish)

WEIGHT/BUILD: Probably about 125lbs. He's small but has muscle to him, and a little chunk of that weight is his hair.

GENERAL APPEARANCE: Heisuke is quite short for his age, as he's only 5'2”ish but is 23 years old, and his most distinguishing feature is his stupidly long brown hair cut in choppy layers he keeps tied up into a high ponytail that falls to about the middle of his butt. If left down, it's just past the top of his thighs. He keeps the front cut into bangs that, at their longest point, crisscross over the bridge of his nose, and are thick enough to hide the nasty scar on his forehead that he received during the Ikedaya raid. His eyes are a bright blue-green that can look either more blue or more green depending on lighting and clothing choices, and he's typically dressed in bright colors such as yellows, greens, and purples.

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Heisuke is an energetic little monster. He's excitable, he's bouncy, he's bubbly, and he talks a lot with his hands. He carries himself fairly straight-backed but not stiff, and isn't the slouchy sort – as the shortest of the Shinsengumi captains, he needs all the help he can get to look more imposing than he really is. That said, he acts without thinking and his actions can come across as a bit explosive and tend to lean toward the unintentionally destructive at times. He's that little dog that's just so excited it bounces all over the place and accidentally makes a mess of everything. He knows how to restrain himself, it's just that he sometimes needs to be told to rein it in. However, during those times when he's upset, worried, or thinking about things, he calms down and keeps to himself, and when he's nervous, he'll fidget with the ends of his bangs.

VERBAL MANNERISMS: Of all the Shinsengumi, Heisuke's voice is higher pitched and can get shrill when he's shouting or just being loud, which is often. His tone bounces around a lot while speaking, he overuses the phrases “y'know” and “I mean”, and if he's in trouble, he will give every excuse in the book as to what happened but they'll all be really bad ones. He is capable of speaking in a lower, softer tone, though it's not one that he uses too often around his friends -it's more something reserved for someone he really likes.

FASHION: Heisuke's clothing choices seem kind of questionable, especially when looking at his 'traditional' attire, with what appears to be armor in strange places (but it actually makes sense as wounds to the thigh and bicep can immobilize a limb, so it's only natural to guard those places... especially when you're small enough that a good hit could probably lop that limb clean off). As far as more modern styles, he likes brighter colors and loose-fitting shirts, with leggings or capris. He's small enough to fit into a larger women's size, so he's a little gender blind when it comes to his attire, not caring much if the shirt he's wearing was meant for a girl, or if the 'swishy' piece at his waist is a woman's scarf or even a short skirt. Clothes are clothes, and as long as he can make them work and still have the means to carry his swords, he's satisfied. He's also shit with money, so he's got no problem dropping credits on clothes if he sees something he likes.

Sasuke Uchiha

HEIGHT: 168cm (about 5'5")

WEIGHT/BUILD: 52.2kg (about 115lbs)

GENERAL APPEARANCE: Sasuke is fairly average in height and his build is that of an athletic 17 year old, defined but not overly so. He's fair-skinned with blue-black hair, which he wears short and spikey in the back with longer layers in the front and bangs, thin eyebrows, and when not activated, his eyes are black (they're also not actually his, but all Uchiha seem to be black-eyed so it really doesn't matter). When they're active, they're horribly mismatched, with the right being red/black and the left being a pale purple with a ripple-like pattern that spreads across his eye and six tomoe that disappear with use and reappear when fully charged, and he has a tendency to keep his left active even while the right is not. It's probably more uncommon to find him with both inactive. As a shinobi, Sasuke has been injured many a time and bears the scars to prove it. Fortunately for him, most of the worst ones were healed either without leaving a mark or leaving a less severe-looking scar thanks to the efforts of others, but if one looks closely, he's got a lot of old scars that resemble spots about the width of a standard crochet needle from Haku's senbon, and there's one across his left shoulder that he would prefer nobody point out ever due to the memories that come with it. The rest of his scars aren't physical.

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: How does he carry himself? Like he owns the place. He's not physically imposing, so he lets his attitude and presence do the talking, so to speak, and he's got no qualms with taking someone on if it means asserting dominance. He's quick to anger and isn't the sort to just have a shouting match and be done with it – he's very physical when he's angry, especially with other men, preferring to speak with fists over words – but when it comes to any other form of physical contact or emotional state, he won't accept or initiate contact unless he wants it, and as soon as it's no longer wanted, that's the end of it (he's sort of like a cat in that respect, where pettings come on their terms).

VERBAL MANNERISMS: Sasuke's speech is rude, and he's got a habit of insulting/talking down to others. He's just not terribly friendly, but he will throw out an apology if he thinks it will get someone to back off or leave him alone -not that he means much if any of it. He's intelligent, which is reflected in his speech, and at times, he can be almost brutally honest about things whether the other person wants to hear it or not. He doesn't do much sugar-coating. As far as tonal quality, when it's general conversation, his voice doesn't seem so deep, but if he's seriously angry it's like he went and hit puberty a second time.

FASHION: Purple rope and what may as well be a picnic blanket are totally fashionable, what are you talking about? Seriously, though, Sasuke's typical clothing choices leave something to be desired. He doesn't spend much on what he wears, but unless it's something he picked up in order to blend in a little bit for work, he'll drop the credits to have his family crest put on his clothing. In terms of color, his preference goes to cooler colors such as blues, purples, white, black, and gray, and no patterns or images (beyond the Uchiha fan). Because the standard footwear in his world is an open-toed sandal, and what he usually wears is a sandal that's both open-toed and open-heeled, he is not a fan of the closed-toe shoes and boots that most other worlds have.

Heero Yuy

HEIGHT: 156cm (about 5'1")

WEIGHT/BUILD: 45kg (about 99lbs)

GENERAL APPEARANCE: For all that he's only 5'1" and weighs around a whopping 99 pounds, Heero is slim but solid and as close to being built like a brick shithouse as he can get without being Trowa, but surprisingly enough, there is very little about him to set him apart from the crowd. According to canon, he doesn't he look very strong, but I guess they mean with clothes on as this is a thing that exists. He's of Japanese descent, with dark brown hair worn short with longer bangs layered in, and his eyes are a dark Prussian blue. His default expression is :|, though it tends to look more like resting bitch face due to the shape of his eyes and heavier eyebrows, as well as the fact that he has a tendency to not lift his head. Due to his training, Heero is not without his share of scars. Most are older and faded, but the most prominent ones are the single bullet wounds on his right bicep and right thigh just above his knee from where Duo shot him, and the scar on his left bicep left over from a wound that he kept re-opening after recovering from self-detonation. Everything else... is usually hidden by clothes (or hair, because head wounds happen a lot with him).

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Heero is almost constantly on guard, and even if he's not moving, he's still observant of the things around him to a near-paranoia level (the PTSD is strong with this one). He's very controlled in his movements and actions, in part because of his training, but also because he's abnormally strong so action without restraint could be a bad thing. Around most people, he can be very closed off, keeping himself within his own 'bubble', he's not the touchy or huggy sort, and if he's angry or upset, he acts out verbally instead of physically - physical contact is not something he does without necessity. It's also not uncommon to find him with his arms crossed, though it's not an indicator of mood or emotional state, it's just a thing that he does.

VERBAL MANNERISMS: In general, Heero tends to be pretty quiet, speaking when spoken to but not offering much else by way of conversation. With people he knows a little better, he'll open up a bit more but he's still not incredibly talkative unless it's something he feels is important or worth discussing. However, there is one person he will chatter on at: himself. And he does this ... a lot. If you let him, he'll carry on an entire conversation with himself and tell you to keep it down if you try to cut in. Because his expressions are usually flat, the best way to read his emotions is through his voice, as it's probably the most expressive thing about him. That said, Heero's voice is fairly mid-range and usually pretty monotone, with little variation in pitch unless he's intentionally raising it. He doesn't use slang often if at all, speaks clearly and evenly, and doesn't have much of an accent.. unless you wake him up from a dead sleep, in which case, good luck understanding a word he says unless you speak L1-ese.

FASHION: Fashion has a name... and it is definitely not his. Heero is one of those people who just throws on whatever happens to be there without a care for whether or not it matches. His usual attire consists of a pair of light blue jeans, a green tank top, a dark blue denim jacket, and brown shoes, though he does still have his signature black spandex shorts and yellow high top sneakers. He doesn't do jewelry or bright colors, no flashy patterns or styles, and if he had to choose between a higher price or a burlap sack, he'd probably pick the sack - he's not the type to pay an arm and leg for clothes. Actually, if Cerealia has thrift stores, that's probably where he'd go. He will dress nicely if he has to, but only if he has to.

Sannomiya Shiho
HEIGHT: 160cm
WEIGHT/BUILD: Voluptuous and seemingly shorter than she really is. Shiho thinks her weight is no one's business but her own, thank you very much.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: A small, fluffy-looking girl with very light, very curly purple hair. She's pretty and harmless-looking and both knows and accentuates this with both the way she carries herself and the clothes she chooses to wear.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Shiho stands confidently with her back straight and ever so lightly tilting her head, looking up at you from under her eyelashes. She projects a fluffy, girly, harmless sort of air. Never found with her back exposed to anyone else, her arms are nearly always crossed defensively. Smiles a lot because no one expects you to pull a gun when you're sparkling at them.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Her voice is very sweet and you can definitely hear a smile in it but the things that she says are usually anything but. She hums, happily, when she thinks she's got someone cornered and at her mercy.
FASHION: She really likes lace, and picks clothes to be girly and flowy in order to accentuate her appearance. A lot of attention goes to her clothes, which is why her wardrobe is huge. This is made slightly better by the fact that she shares a lot of clothes with Kaoru (so it's like they have two closets!)

Ankh
HEIGHT: 181 cm/5'11" in
WEIGHT/BUILD: I have no idea of numbers but he's really skinny. He doesn't give the impression of being weak or malnourished (in fact, he seems to have a pretty solid punch), he's just built like a stick.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Flashy and full of attitude are the general impressions Ankh is likely to give off. He appears to be in his early 20's, with eye-catching clothes and hair and don't forget the eyeliner. Outside of that, he will seem like a normal human being most of the time (and he in fact has an actual human body of his own now thanks to his previous game), but if he wants to, he can make his right hand all black and scaly with red armor over it and a bird on the back. He also has optional wings that he can sprout at will, usually accompanied by a burst of red feathers. The wings are iridescent, translucent, and appear to be made of light, but they are fully functional as wings and he can fly with them.
PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Ankh is a bird Greeed, and even in human form, his motions are very bird-like. He tends to carry almost all of his weight on one foot at a time, move in sharp, rapid motions, and lead into movements with his head. He will also generally find the highest point available when picking out a place to sit and can often be found perching in trees.
Aside from that, let's just go back to what I said about attitude. His body language is usually closed, with his arms crossed or something similar; he gives an aura of not wanting people to mess with him. He usually doesn't react well to being touched, either jerking away or shoving the other person away from him, whichever seems more fitting at the time. That said, he has no problem being in someone's personal space if he's the one in control of it, and one of his most typical ways of expressing anger is grabbing someone by the chin or by the shirt (or by the neck if he's sufficiently pissed off) and glaring daggers at them.
Even when he's not being violent, he spends a lot of time looking surly. A lot of times you'll find him seeming mildly annoyed by everything and pretending he's not the slightest bit interested in anything going on around him, even though he's usually paying attention, and he's most often there by choice (even when it's an annoying situation). He rarely smiles, and when he does, it comes in one of two forms. Most of the time, it's the smug kind, a self-congratulatory sort of smile that happens when he knows something you don't know or he's just pulled off something he thinks is especially clever. The other ones are genuinely happy, small smiles that occasionally show up when he's looking at someone he cares about. If you happen to catch one of these, feel special, because it's like seeing a unicorn. Beyond that, there are actually moments where a heck of a lot of emotion shows on his face, but in the vast majority of those cases, he won't let you see it. His eyes sometimes get really wide when he's a combination of surprised and concerned.
In terms of fighting, he favors punching if he has to get in close. If he's at a distance, he's more likely to throw a fireball. If Eiji's around, though, he's more likely to take up the position of strategist, keeping an eye on everything from the sidelines and just supporting as needed. He keeps most of the medals that Eiji uses to transform with him, only giving Eiji the medals when he thinks they're appropriate to the situation. He generally throws them with great precision, putting multiple medals in range for Eiji to easily catch with one motion. Ankh is very fond of ice pops, and will sometimes use the same motion to toss a popsicle stick into a garbage can, provided there happens to be one conveniently in the right kind of range to count as target practice. Otherwise, he'll just toss it over his shoulder or something because he really doesn't care about leaving trash everywhere.
VERBAL MANNERISMS: Ankh's way of speaking is rough and impolite. He doesn't tend to speak much, usually only saying what he feels like he needs to (which is sometimes just some sound of blatant annoyance). He has a signature "tch" he uses for that purpose, which is usually accompanied by an appropriately frustrated twitch of his head (see that here). Otherwise, the way he speaks is pretty well summed up a little later in that same video. Sadly not included here is how he has a way of saying "Huh?" that is the most incredulous what-idiotic-thing-did-you-just-say thing in the world. And maybe it should have been under physical, but he has a tendency to open his mouth really wide when he talks. Also, if you liked the song in that video or just want to hear his singing voice or watch the bird dance, that's here.
FASHION: Ankh is a snappy dresser who looks like he got most of his clothes from somewhere like Hot Topic. He wears a black or white t-shirt under a black or white overshirt or jacket, the right sleeve of which is usually red (aside from the one jacket he has where the jacket is red and that sleeve is black... variety is the spice of life?). He usually pairs that with pants that are bright red, though occasionally they're black or grey. His boots are black and surprisingly fancy (go back up to the perching in a tree picture and take a look). The biggest detail worth noting here is that the designs on his t-shirts are heavily text and the text is almost always something that means something to him. For example, he has a shirt with text on it reading "desire" and "become complete," which are things that come out of his mouth on a regular basis over the series.

Ryuuga Dougai
HEIGHT: 5'11"
WEIGHT/BUILD: unknown on the weight, but he's got a fairly athletic build underneath his Knight duds (see here - second row, far right - and here for examples - ... the second one is a hot springs behind-the-scenes talk with the other two Knights from Ryuuga's debut season, don't ask)

GENERAL APPEARANCE: Ryuuga looks like a fairly typical young Japanese man at first glance ... not taking into account his Knight uniform, of course. He's got a surprisingly youthful grin and features, despite everything he's gone through. This is what Ryuuga looked like when we first meet him during YamiTera (season 3 of the GARO franchise). He's decidedly more of a punk, and surprisingly enough, doesn't wear the white longcoat that usually denotes the one who holds the title of GARO in the first place. He's a definite departure from what we originally saw in the first two seasons with Kouga here. After the shitstorm that was YamiTera, however, he seems to have at least gotten more serious. He's less wild-looking than before, and he's decided to let his hair down rather than slick it back. (pictured here is both himself as of Goldstorm as well as his partner/now-girlfriend, Rian). As for scarring, he has light scars all over his body from his various fights, surprisingly no scarring from the stint where he took a sword to the face, but he does have something on his shoulder from when berserk!Yusuke took a bite out of his shoulder.

Two mainstays in his outfits, however, are both Zaruba, who will generally be mounted on Ryuuga's left middle finger as a ring when he's not on a stand, and a silver fang charm that dangles from the collar of his longcoat, which was all that was left of Lago after Ryuuga was forced to slay him to prove that he had earned the GARO armor.

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS: Ryuuga tends to keep his posture surprisingly straight for the most part, even when he's stressed or angry. He moves at a fairly casual pace when he's not in a hurry, though he does seem to exude confidence when moving even when he's not in a hurry to get his sword out to slay a Horror. Unlike Jinga (and even himself earlier on), he tends to move a bit more purposefully now, but he isn't against touching things casually to get a read on them with his psychometry abilities, though even that's toned down in comparison to what he did before. He's not an incredibly tactile person anymore, hesitant to touch people but he does try to be reassuring when it calls for it. Back during his stint in Vol City, he was much more cocky and wild with his gestures, but time and experience has once again tempered that a bit. As for fighting style, he does have some variation on how he fights, though for the most part, he tends to try and finish a fight quickly. He combines swordplay with martial arts, kicking at enemies to get them off of him and attempts at throwing, and if an opponent is human, he will always go for the incapacitation route. One of the few Makai Order tenets that he will never break is their rule on never killing humans, as it's not their job to judge humanity.

Jinga being what he is brings out some of his worse traits in a fight if only because he used to be Makai, and Ryuuga gets especially rough in a fight when it comes to him. When anger starts to come into play, his fighting style becomes sadly predictable, but still a force to be reckoned with by sheer strength alone, never mind strength of will. Ryuuga is incredibly stubborn and has been known to keep fighting even when things look terrible (i.e. the entire situation where he was blinded and trying to prove himself still worthy even afterward, or more recently - nearly getting his sword arm snapped in half by a robot velociraptor).

VERBAL MANNERISMS: Ryuuga's very casual and familiar for the most part when he's speaking to people - at first incredibly cocky and with a very blatant disregard for authority, but that's been tempered a bit, and especially with his stint in Line City working under Ryume. It's amazing what working under a boss who either doesn't die before the end of season or turn out to be a horrible backstabber can do. He doesn't really curse all that much unless pushed to anger (so in other words, generally when Jinga starts needling him again), and his vernacular is pretty commonplace. Surprisingly, though, he tends to call people by their first names with no honorific, even when he's given the full name, which is odd, but seems to be more common within Makai society for the most part.

FASHION: For the most part, Ryuuga goes for casual wear or his Knight uniform with very little in between. He has donned disguises to infiltrate if necessary for a hunt (though that's few and far between and generally is done by his now-girlfriend when she needs to scout, but that's slowly starting to be phased out even now), but outside that, we really only see him in his Knight duds. How people haven't called him out on being a weird cosplayer or something back home, we'll never know. In Cerealia proper, he has worn some more casual wear when not out on patrols, and even dressed up nice once or twice.
