[Everything seemed like it was taking a turn for the better, finally. Kenta is sunburned, sore, embarrassed at his inability to drive his buggie, and that's on top of being confused and out of his mind with thirst. He's never been this dried out. No training camp has ever been this brutal.
And then, he saw a figure and heard a voice. Half the desert probably heard that voice. Jun-san never was one to keep his voice down. It was such a relief, to see not just someone he knew but someone who would probably, hopefully help him here. They'd be able to relax, sit by the water (he's excited about the water too, that's what's really got him running), and figure out where to go and how to find help from here. It's been months since he's even seen Jun-san; he's not sure why he's here, but he can't imagine anyone else he'd rather see.
That is, until he gets closer to the oasis. When Jun's face is clearer, it's angry. Enraged. He bends down and hurls a handful of sand at Kenta, who stops in his tracks. He doesn't dare to go closer. Jun has a bat and in between telling Kenta he's not living up to expectations as a leader, that he should've been paying better attention and intervened sooner for Miyuki, that he's selfish, lazy, in between the insults he's gesturing out with it.
Kenta can only stare. Jun will calm down. He has to. They're all they each have here, or so it looks, and besides, does he not see there's a half-naked girl frolicking in the water behind him?? How do you want to act like that, and tear Kenta down like that, in front of a girl?]
PHASE IV: temple
[It's a building.
Kenta digs deep for the last of his energy and runs on the sand to get there. It's small but there's shade and something else, something very familiar.
What could he lose? Kenta rubs the lamp and greets the genie.
A gasped wish simply for water gets an eyeroll.]
So original.
[Then suddenly, the genie's gone and Kenta's left holding a note. The note is not encouraging, especially not when it also vanishes, and he still has no water. At least he has shade. He's just going to... stay in here for a bit.]
ooc: player's choice as to what's in the sandworms now!
BONUS: commitment to sparkle motion
[He gave up on the temple and Kenta is now wandering on foot again. Somehow, it only seems appropriate that on top of everything else, he'd get attacked by a bug. He's able to kick the thing after it stings him, but it doesn't change the fact that he's been stung.
At first he thinks what he's seeing is just a hallucination. The heat and dehydration and whatever was in that stinger have done him in. Then he waves his hand over his own head and no, the waves of glitter falling from his hands are as real as anything else that's happening right now. If he thought the sand was going to be tough to get rid of, well, he's never going to stop finding glitter. Rainbow glitter.
He walks with his hands shoved firmly in his armpits (it only seems to happen when he moves them around) until he sees another person. Hi there. There is now a six foot tall teenager, sunburned and desperate, running at you with clouds of glitter streaming from his hands as he waves them at you.]

Hey! You're seeing this too, right?
