Character: Yukina Suzumori / Demons' Bond.

Job:
- Close-range combat coach. She specializes in swordsmanship and a mix of martial arts.
- CyBuddy hawk tamer. Once she figures out ViViD a bit better.
- Student. She's 17 and has never attended a formal school before so I feel this could be an eye-opening experience for her, particularly in terms of interacting with humans.

Personality:
Yukina is pretty well known in canon - and likely will be in-game as well - as being far too serious. Yukina takes a great deal very seriously, particularly when it comes to being considerate of others and of her own duties as a demon chieftain and bodyguard to Princess Yase. She's a lot harder on herself than she is on others and in general will be awkward with humans due to how little she's interacted with them.

Likewise Yukina is know for being unable to distinguish jokes or sarcasm from someone being honestly serious. She's capable of suspecting people are teasing her or making jokes but often she won't outright state as much unless a point has been pushed. And she's blunt, often without meaning to be. Yukina speaks her mind easily and is quickly learning some lessons about discretion when she speaks, particularly when it comes to sharing names.

Otherwise she's honestly a very thoughtful if somewhat naive young demon who's very serious about her own conduct as well as training. And swords are pretty cool too.

Current Activities:
Trying to figure out how to use the CereVice and ViViD currently. She's also struggling some to grasp how this whole changing your apartment to suit your taste business works. Likewise she's getting used to the rhythmn of modern life, modern technology and going to school as well.

Seeking:
- Other demons Yukina can feel somewhat comfortable around. For now she hasn't been speaking of what she is to humans since in her own world, demons aren't supposed to socialize with humans and definitely aren't supposed to let them know what they are.

- People to spar with, particularly those willing to train her in further swordsmanship abilities, martial arts and hand to hand combat. I intend to make a post with her next month asking for this as well as technology things.

- Humans and others that Yukina can gradually befriend, open up to and come to trust as well. This and the other idea likely overlap but I'm also happy to explore CR with those who she doesn't spar with or such. Classmates in particular and people her own age would be fun.

Anything else:

I feel like Jinga should teach her sword stuff and be a fellow demon to talk to her more.

Ah, Jinga-sensei! :V She would definitely enjoy that. Yukina is all about some training and getting stronger/better in that way.

He's got a very aggressive style too so it might be interesting to see her working off of that.

Ah I love it. In canon one of the routes is with a demon named Kazutake. He's got a pretty harsh style all about punching and no weaponry involved but he pretty much refuses to spar with women and that rubs Yukina the wrong way in the beginning. She's all about some equality in fighting.

He is very much in your face and tends to bash and kick before taking out his sword and using that. And it's not uncommon to fight women since a lot of the Priests are women in canon - they cannot become Knights but since the Priests and Knights tend to work together, they have the same training up until it comes to the sword.

Which means he may have to test to see if she can actually lift his sword. It's special and only Knights can lift them, usually.

Hoooh, I wonder. In Yukina's canon it's not exactly weird for women to fight (I mean it's Warring States Era Japan) but female demons are apparently decently rare enough that they're sort of looked after. They're also a little weaker than male demons but that's comparing demons to demons. In terms of humans to demons she's still pretty strong.

They aren't as rare in his canon. Granted a lot of the GARO demons are genderless until they enter a host - at least as genderless as Evil vibes can be - but they are popular enough that the names are gendered mostly. Makai culture is also very much equal opportunity protectors of humanity only in that all members of Makai Order are protectors unless they are teachers or craftspeople, but they are all expected to fight to protect humans. So there isn't as much as a divide outside of the 'only men can become Knights' thing. Heck, Amily kicks some serious ass, even when she isn't sprouting spider limbs to assist her.

Heh heh school shenanigans would be great fun. I've really been enjoying the way these two play off each other! Maybe Yukina can give her lessons and they can use the kendo club's (???) space at school...

Oooh, that's a very good idea. There has to be a kendo club or some sort of club space like that!

I've really enjoyed it. Yukina is so darn serious and not adept at joking in any sense of the word that she just takes whatever Rapunzel says to heart. I think Rapunzel could definitely help her lighten up in time. haha lighten up, i'm so witty.

Yukina's also very good as far as having positive female influences in her life. Plus she likes feeling like she's saved someone else for once! So yes LET'S DO IT.

I wonder. My bet is on it being until he figures out she's a demon. That'd be a preeeetty helpful clue, I imagine, depending on canon points and all.

She's a little too early in canon to know about Toki's version of ochimizu (the Sage's Elixir) but I'll likely canon update her as she progresses in game.

Either way, I definitely want Souji to keep snarking at her. It's beautiful.

Watch souji freak out when he does find out!! And by freak out he'll just be suspicious that she's Kaoru and Kazama-tier until he finds out otherwise.

I look forward to her updating in the future to the point of finding out Chitose's family name. Please tell her all about how hideous his great-grandchild is. That and I look forward to exploring how she feels about the very evident decline of demon society.

And yes, please! She didn't get to do enough actual fighting in canon for my tastes. She'll be asking for people to spar against when she posts near the start of next month as well so that will be a good opportunity. I'm pretty confident she can hold her own with him at the very least.

Oh wow I would love for these two to meet. Lumina basically spends all her time messing with super-serious people who can't take a joke trying to get them to open up and relax...or just, you know, messing with them because she feels like it.

Saitou has Demon Senses, but they're not activating yet around Yukina lol. First good impressions go a long way 8) he'd be more than willing to spar/train with her.

For a demon Yukina really isn't that great at sensing other demons. I'm assuming it's lack of practice because it isn't as if she's ever lived with anything other than demons so that may change over time of her being here.

Yes, I was definitely hoping they could! Yukina will be more than happy to spar with him and test out her abilities while learning more.
