Job: Technically, she's a part-time Insult Cafe Waitress / part-time Graffiti Removal Laborer / part-time Bar Bouncer but mostly she just does odd jobs around the city. Apparently a lot of people are trying to get in on her odd jobsing turf. She will fight you.

Personality: The Worst (and yet most charismatic!) Protagonist Ever. Honestly, Hawke is best described as "too much lip, too much heart" because despite all the sarcasm and mockery, she just loves... everything... and everyone... she cares so much, you guys. It's pathetic. Hawke's got a lot of baggage from canon (and she's only act one!) that she keeps under tight lip so mostly she just has herself a good time and snarks a lot. Despite everything, she's never actually really mean spirited with her snarking -- just trying to amuse herself and whoever is with her. Alternatively, to make them uncomfortable because it's Hawke. Anyone want a ... not a jerk but a cheesy idiot with a heart of gold as their new bff? You should make friends with Hawke.

Current Activities: Hawke's pretty anti-authority so she tries to avoid getting involved in anything that has to do with CERES even if it deals with their way out. But one of her crew from Kirkwall has recently showed up and this has forced Hawke to reevaluate how she deals with Cerealia. Right now, she's mostly looking to secure a proper apartment for herself, clean up her act a little bit, and make a real decision on how proactive she wants to be here. Also, Hawke's #1 Fan showed up in Cerealia and she might have to autograph her own biography. It's a thing.

Seeking: Anything! I'll admit, I'm real big on familial. If anyone needs Hawke to be a loser big sister for them, you've got it! Other than that, like-minded adults she can snark with. She's pretty big on that. Aaaand, idk, I'm pretty much up for anything! It's Hawke, she can be a friend to anyone.

Job: Six months later and she's still living the dream as a CYbuddy Shop Cashier. She probably accidentally made Employee of the Month three times in a row and it pissed her off. Why won't they fire her???

Personality: So, I play two character types apparently. Snark with a heart of gold and surly with a heart of gold. Malia's the latter. She's kind of mean and reacts very prickly to everything but Malia's actually a pretty sweet girl deep down. Deep, deep down. Malia spent most of her life as a feral coyote after accidentally slaughtering her family during a full moon when she was a kid (or ... thinking she did, it's complicated) and now she's just constantly trying to learn how to be human again. She doesn't understand most stuff and responds to it with aggression, but if you get her to relax around you, she's mostly just openly curious and snarky. She asks a lot of questions (so, so many) and once she latches onto someone, it's kind of ... for life ... but it's kind of hard to get past all the cranky. Please get past all the cranky.

Current Activities: She's going to be setting up the volunteer force again! I talked to Dana about it and because Malia's been looking for something to help people in Cerealia, she's looking into it a bit more since no one's talked about it since Natalia left. (I'll be making a post on the OOC comm tomorrow when my internet's back!) She's mostly looking for more things to attach herself to in Cerealia since she feels like she's stuck here for longer than she hoped. Also, Liam arrived! Liam's part of her pack and this has made her decision to try and help Cerealia in some way more solid. Here's hoping it works out for her! Also one day I'll canon update to short hair less socially awkward Malia but that day is just not yet.

Seeking: More real friends! Malia has a small circle of people she actually does like and I'm looking to widen it. I know she's not super friendly or anything but she's a good pal once you get to know her! Seriously, look at this coyote. Love this coyote. :'(

Oh noooo I love the idea of this already lmao. Malia as the cranky, wisecracking bodyguard and Rapunzel as the perky one who asks just as many questions. They can figure out how to be well-adjusted humans together and she can work on getting Malia to open up with twee bullshit! Or something like that. Idk.

omg this sounds absolutely fantastic actually?? twee bullshit is right up my alley and actually pretty funny since malia mostly wears pastel flower patterned shirts and shorts -- a total antithesis to her personality. malia's got the outer twee for you, rapunzel. give her the inner twee.

so yes!! let's totally do this, they can hang out and be completely socially awkward and somehow meet somewhere in the middle. the intro log is pretty far gone at this point but i can hit you up at the event or we can make a log or something!

i think the event might be the safest at this point since it's just around the corner and should make an easy point of entry as far as introductions go... though if you'd rather have them meet under more mundane circumstances we can definitely throw up a log!

you already know how I feel about hiro and hawke and Needing To Do Things but let's talk about how I am determined to get CR with Malia!!!! I didn't realize she was taking over the volunteer coalition so Hiro will be all over that but I really want to throw Rise at her and see how they fare. Rise might get frustrated with her and snarl right back but if she saw even a hint of good in her she'd keep trying to get her to chill out and be her friend.

yeah!! i've been thinking about it for a while and thought it would be a good character development thing :'D super excited for hiro and malia to get to interact over it

but oh my god yes please! i love rise and the idea of rise and malia somehow figuring out a way to get along would be the best thing ever. one of the people in malia's pack is actually very rise like and the two sort of function in a "long suffering it girl and her omg who cares just punch them tagalong" way. it's actually pretty cute and i imagine rise would be kind of familiar to malia because of it.
