The unstoppable, inexorable movement towards utter annihilation must be how humanity felt all the time, and it would no doubt be such an adventure to try to escape. It's really quite exciting from a certain point of view, particularly from her perch on top of a random jumble of junk. Soon, perhaps, she would need to flee from such a terrible end.
But then it jams.
She waits, kicking her feet idly back and forth. ]
Oh my, how shamefully embarrassing. [ The comment is calmly said out to the air, but then she looks around to see who else might be just as disappointed as she is. It starts up again, and her face lights up, but... no.
Once more, it jams.
That's just unreasonable. Now who would be able to enjoy the great thrill of attempting and perhaps even succeeding escape? ]
