Ruby has started to properly like Archer now, actually. IT WAS A BIT OF A ROCKY START but after all of the fussing and sass and insults, Ruby's started to realize that she still somehow likes him. (More so admittedly when Yang is around because Yang helps to keep his meanness in check).
But yeah, he at least understands her in a lot of things. He likes weapons too, and he makes really good food which he will let her eat, and so she's totally willing to be his friend even though he's a Big Fat Jerk sometimes. She can't help but be curious about him, but mostly she's willing to get to know him better as it happens; Ruby's honestly not the sort to pry.
SO SOMEHOW it's improving for her for whatever reason, and she really would call him a friend.
