Mary absolutely adores Tenka, but you already knew that. What's changed is that now she knows what he's been through (which subsequently has made her feel more protective towards him and also a little sad that he's kept this to himself for way too long) and also the fact that he has now disappeared on her twice.

... And come back, which is more than she can say for everyone else who's ditched her, but a part of her is so hesitant now because it keeps hurting when he vanishes and she'd like it to hurt less but that means caring less and she really can't, so if she seems occasionally miserable when she's bonding with him, it's because she's thinking about it again. That aside, she wants to help support him where she can, so there might be a whole lot of clamoring to assist him.

ALSO OTOME... thinks Tenka really is hella cheerful and easy to talk to, even though she hopes the whole staying up late to send turtle pics was a one-time thing. She's curious about him, of course, but she's also too tactful to ask about things like the wheelchair or the scars, so it's a whole lot of sunshine dealing with a whole lot of sunshine. They're friends now, yes.
