William's thoughts on Takeru is "waaaay too young to be here and going through all this horrifying adventure." But he finds Takeru to be a very nice and earnest youngster and has a pretty favorable impression of him.

Takeru's like probably the third person to call William cool for using magic, which weirds him out. He's used to being complimented on his brains, class and all those things that matter back home. So it always flusters him to be complimented on other things, especially the magic, since he actually isn't naturally talented in it. So he ends up stupidly charmed by this child being so impressed.

And so he feels like he should try and be a good influence, but well, then like the talking about swearing happened and despite his usual opinion, William ended up indulging Takeru a bit. But it's totally okay, because William is not a prefect here.

But over all, he's fond of the kid and like I said, will continue trying to be a good role model.
