KAORU AND VIETNAM... Unsurprisingly hasn't changed since the last time I tl;dred about them because Kaoru is such a static bum LMFAO. Like I mentioned with Tenka, as long as Vietnam doesn't learn more about him, there won't be any need for him to change what he's currently doing so he won't! And because of that, his opinions and views won't change, either. He thinks of Vietnam as a useful ally to have in the fight against CERES but doesn't really hold much personal opinion toward her besides that. The fact that she's the embodiment of a nation is kind of interesting, though, even if he still doesn't care enough to question her more about it. His scope of interests are really narrow and limited okay... He also doesn't trust Vietnam at all despite the fact that he can totally tell she trusts him! It's his own damn fault; he's just like "NO ONE WOULD TRUST ME IF THEY REALLY KNEW" which isn't untrue but it's also a dumb self-fulfilling prophecy type reason for not trusting others. WHATEVER, Kaoru is a moron, news at 11. Vietnam needs better friends...

As for Kashuu and Vietnam, he likes her a lot and is super interested in finding out more about her! She's basically like a tsukumogami of a country, after all; he thinks there's a lot about that that they could find similarities in, even if being representative of an entire nation of people is clearly very different from being the soul of just one item. He's both impressed by that and a little intimidated, even though Vietnam is perfectly polite and personable. She's just been around for so long and she's surely seen so much that he wonders if he could ever really be able to understand her or see eye to eye if they were to talk about Serious Things someday.

That's part of the reason why he never talks about Serious Things with her, in fact! The other reason is just that he's not the sort of person who leans toward those topics on his own. He likes to keep things light and friendly and free of heavier subjects, which is why he never really asks Vietnam more about herself or about what it's like to represent a nation. He'd much prefer dragging her to stores and dressing her up and picking out new makeup for her...

THAT SAID he at least understands that she's an intelligent and wise individual, and that she's an extremely apt fighter. He'd fight by her side in a heartbeat! He'd also protect her if she needed it, even though he's sure she can take care of herself better than most swords can take care of themselves... She just has that mature responsible babysitter vibe, okay.
