Sousei : Kaoru
mostly tbh
I MEAN THEY'VE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY AVOIDING EACH OTHER which is hilarious and so nothing has changed.
Sousei : Kashuu
Kashuuuuuu Sousei's favorite sword aside from his own sword but you know how it goes, right. Sousei likes Kashuu immensely, and it shows in all of the little things. It shows in how Sousei wants Kashuu to know what's going on instead of leaving him in the dark. It shows in how he trusts Kashuu with information about the Yamainu. And it shows in the fact that he would totally accept an invitation to hot pot with Kashuu and friends now, and he'd probably be miserable but he'd accept it for Kashuu.
Basically, Kashuu has been a reliable and trustworthy companion through thick and thin. Sure, he's a little frivolous and flamboyant sometimes, but Sousei can see the fact that he's actually a very hard-working, trustworthy sword. If he had to pick someone in Cerealia to depend on (who wasn't Tenka), he'd definitely pick Kashuu.
This is why he trusts Kashuu with the Yamainu's backstory and purpose. It helped, naturally, that Kashuu really wasn't the sort to pry either way, but even so, he's the first person who has gotten the full story in Cerealia. And he got it out of Sousei who is the most tightlipped of them all...amazing. But it's because he trusts Kashuu, he believes he has the right to know and in a way, he always wants him to know what he does and why. Much as he wants to understand Kashuu, he does want Kashuu to understand him as well.
All of that aside, he's pretty aware that Kashuu has a plethora of issues, and he's not going to stop poking at them. He can see them, he knows that Kashuu knows that he knows they're there, but he doesn't otherwise press. Kashuu can keep flinging himself forcibly out of the conversation until he's ready to talk about them SOUSEI IS PATIENT. But he keeps bringing them up solely out of concern. He wants Kashuu to be safe and healthy and not to do anything stupid SO HE KEEPS. POINTING IT OUT. when he's in danger of doing so.
But yes 10/10 best sword.
Leon : Kashuu
Leon thinks Kashuu is a pest, but he actually otherwise tolerates him.
Even if he thinks that Kashuu is way too much of a pest, and talks way too much, and is overall just really far too nosy and energetic, he's otherwise not really that bad. He was fine to fight with, if nothing else, so Leon doesn't hate him or anything. God I'm sorry, Aki, this is the worst tl;dr. Leon's a punk.
The only thing saving Kashuu from being basically a nonentity to Leon is the fact that he gave him that charm. Leon doesn't tend to receive gifts...obviously... but Kashuu had no reason to give him something that would protect him when Kashuu could've used it himself. But he did, for some bizarre reason, and Leon's not sure what to make of it yet.
So now he thinks Kashuu is a confusing pest. UPGRADED.
Chaltier thinks that Kashuu is really nice and cool and he'd like to get to know him better, if they can ever chat when Leon's not.....around or paying attention because he knows Leon doesn't really like pointless chatter. But he really likes Kashuu's enthusiasm and it really excited him to get to talk to someone else like this, because most people can't hear them at all. He wants to be Kashuu's friend, because Chal is infinitely cuter than his master.
