Rei respects Sousei a lot. A lot a lot. He's one of the few men she'd give an enthusiastic pass on her feelings about men being idiots. He's reliable, stolid, and the kind of person she likes being around. Looking up to him might be too strong, but she appreciates him as a teacher and...a friend!

Ruby on the other hand is fast becoming one of her favorite people. That enthusiasm is just catching and while she doesn't know her terribly well? She likes hanging out with her and thinks that maybe someday soon she'd like to just have a day to hang without robots. Any robots at all.
