he likes ema's dedication to her dream! she reminds him a little bit of may (the oras protagonist), and those kinds of people inspire him to do the best at what he does, too. he's a little protective of her because of cerealia's dangrous nature, but that's also because he just Violently Cares, even if he doesn't outwardly show it too much.

he's definitely thankful for what she did for him during the ghost event, and intends to make it up to her in some way or another!
