Rei has no clue what to make of Yu about half the time. On the one hand, she wants to get to know him better, because he's obviously important to Yosuke and a nice person. He's cool and easy to talk to, but his manner of not speaking much makes it hard at the same time. She's a quiet person by nature, and when put next to another quiet person that isn't Ami Mizuno she doesn't entirely know what to do. Still, she thinks he's a good guy, for a guy. There's always that level of uncertainty with men who haven't proven themselves to her though.
And that's what bugs her. Because his jungle gallivant came off as a little irresponsible to her. Not that he did it, and not that Yosuke went, or that it went crossways. It wasn't even the general roster, it was just because he brought Dipper along. To Rei, there are some things that you don't do, and taking someone who's not capable of defending themselves alone into a situation that's definitely proven deadly.
She wouldn't bring that up, and she never will, but that was a big strike against Yu that he'd have to work through to really ever earn her complete trust. Doesn't mean she doesn't like him/won't help him/won't hang out with him, just that she questions that particular decision.
