OH BOY HERE WE GO...

The weird thing is that Hiro doesn't not completely hate Kazuya even if he can be an insufferable dick sometimes. He's dealt with plenty of dicks on his end of the Demon Slaying scales and Kazuya doesn't feel as different as them. Does he find him frustrating? Yes? Does he find him annoying? Very yes. But how Hiro usually deals with issues like that asides punching them into the dirt is... trolling them. And since Kazuya can be harsh and blunt, Hiro feels like he doesn't have to feel bad for being a complete jerk right back. In a sense of giving him some just desserts. But he is aware enough to know that he's not entirely a bad person and can be almost pleasant to speak with... when he's not being overly snappy and frustrating.

Now his whole talk of Bel did put things in perspective for Hiro as he made him realize that they really aren't all that different. Even if that is a hard pill to swallow, Hiro does realize that he probably should've tried to talk to Kazuya more during their little Alignment Argument about what happened about him getting into his position and how fucked up that is. Even if he bowed down to God over killing him, it sounded like there was much more to story than that. Since he's more or less in a very similar position with dealing with his lost humanity and dealing with how morally wrong his position is even if he's protecting humanity from other threats.... Hiro can easily empathize with that. And he's actually happy to know that he's not the only one out there who has gone through the same harsh shit. But since Kazuya completely shut him down by saying that he wouldn't understand him... Hiro got frustrated, talked shit to him and hung up without thinking much deeper on it. Or at all.

Then there's the whole bit about Bel saying that Kazuya wants to eat him. Hiro took it with a grain of salt and was serious when he said that he'd totally kick his ass... But only if he seriously had to. He'd honestly choose getting along over seriously fighting even if Bel gave him a fun bout. So underneath that trollish cocky exterior... He really does want to make friends and do dumb things with him again. Though Hiro realizes that he might have screwed things up by being an overconfident dumbass... SO YEAH. HE IS WILLING TO TRY THIS AGAIN even if they may end up fighting.
