Ruby really likes Keimi, and definitely considers her to be a good friend. She's happy to have been able to help her with her weapon and definitely wants to make sure that Keimi is combat ready, because Cerealia can get dangerous and as willing as she'd always be to defend her, she's afraid that there will be a time where she won't be around. So she wants to make sure that Keimi is able to defend herself. It's important that her friend is safe!
That aside, Ruby likes Keimi because they're very similar. They're both cheerful, and a little awkward, but they both have good attitudes about it too. Ruby thinks that Keimi is really a lot of fun to be around, and she doesn't have to worry so much about how she's acting when she's around her because they get along just fine.
(And she really appreciates the gifts and the clothes even if it's a little overwhelming, because Ruby's never really thought about style that much, so it's been a brand new experience for her.)
