On Ami, please

He thinks Ami is a very nice girl and he loves the fact that he can talk academics with her and that their conversations are usually intellectually stimulating. He finds her to be interesting and he's very interested in her projects for the future. Knowing what he knows about how she feels about Tadashi, he finds himself to be a little awkward in how he talks to her and also a little protective of Tadashi himself. He doesn't exactly see Ami as a threat or anything but he's very aware of that fact.

Mercury's powers are also pretty sweet and he loves learning more about that side of things, too. He knows Mars fairly well, but it's nice to get to know Mercury too and see what kind of things she's capable of.

He trusts Ami on a base level but it's hard to say if he'll get to a point of trusting her the same way he trusts Rei or people like Dipper and Ruby. It's nothing personal and though he can't quite explain it he does put her in a separate category probably just because he doesn't know her as well as the people who've been there since the beginning. He hopes that maybe they can change that but for now he thinks she's a good friend to have either way.
