REI IS... very complicated to Inaba because while Inaba does trust her, there's a part of Inaba that raises warning sirens, if only because of her nature. That isn't to say that Inaba hates her? She doesn't. However, Inaba does feel awkward because she's been through a lot of stress lately + events and she realizes that might... actually be affecting her relationship with her and she's honestly kind of scared sometimes of what might happen.

Because she feels that Rei can sometimes see right through her and that's one of the few things that absolutely terrifies Inaba.
