...Well actually it's more like staring in confusion at the guy talking to himself. This place is getting weirder and weirder and it's not helping Takane relax at all. What is with these people, is there anyone normal? She spends a few minutes watching him before she finally can't help herself and says something.]

[Kazuya almost jumped a foot in the air at the sudden voice, and he whirled around to stare at Takane. After a very uncomfortable, nervous pause, Kazuya relaxed out of his deer-in-headlights stance, though his arms remained partially raised, as if expecting Takane to suddenly lunge at him]
Uhm. I was... talking to my... friend?
[Well, he didn't know if it was a friend, but the Voice seemed very concerned over his wellbeing, and Kazuya felt no ill-will (towards him) from it. He realised how weird it must seem though - him talking to thin air, but the Voice really was there! In fact, it was talking right now, grumbling about how the girl shouldn't be trusted and that if she made a move for him, to go right for her eyes.
...it was a scary thing to hear, really. Suddenly the girl's presence didn't seem all that threatening, compared to the increasingly aggressive mutterings of the Voice]
He's invisible, I think. Um, who're you? Are you... [he seemingly shrank down a little, looking wary] Are you a cannibal?

[Rude!! Takane looks super offended, aghast even, at such an accusation! An invisible friend... Well, that's something kids have, isn't it? She's not thinking along the lines of demons or crazy people, but that he's just some jerk kid making up a voice to make fun of her.]

I-I don't know! [He said this quickly, and a little loudly, trying to ignore the Voice's increasingly aggressive muttering] I mean, I dunno... I don't wanna be mean but, he says that everyone here is a cannibal so, I just wanted to make sure. Um... sorry. [he dared to do a little half-bow of apology, peeking up at her shyly] I didn't mean to be rude.

...Hmph. Well, since you apologised, I guess I'll let it go. But I've definitely never met a cannibal before, are you sure there are cannibals? It's - I-It's just kidnappers, right? So we need to call the police!

The Voice had gone quiet, as if struck with realisation, and Kazuya felt the first stirrings of panic start up again. Kidnappers... that made a whole lot of sense! He's seen a lot of other kids in his wanderings, so, what if...!]
W-What if they're cannibal kidnappers!? [Kazuya felt faint with fear at the thought] We definitely need to find the police! B-But, I haven't... I haven't seen any... and, and I don't have my phone either...!
