[Mutsu has gained himself a tiny observer.

On one hand, he's a stranger, and Souji has next to no experience in how to interact with strangers, which makes them a bit scary. On the other, he looks nice and calm and... friendly, right? It looks so peaceful, sitting there with the steam from the tea curling in the air in front of him, gazing through the window as the golden evening sun falls in slanting beams into the room.

From having been peering around the doorframe, he hesitantly nudges the door a bit more open, takes a hesitant little step... and stops. Should he back out again? Should he stay where he is? Should he walk closer? In the end, he dips into a stiff little bow, gazing up at Mutsu through his fringe.]

I'm... sorry? [For what is unclear, and he sounds rather uncertain that this is the right thing to say as well.]

( He'd noticed the small child hiding behind the doorway but had opted to say nothing about it. When he was ready, Mutsu was certain he would come forward and sure enough, he steps forward with an awkward bow and apology of sorts. Mutsu can really only smile as he turns his attention to the boy. He's reminded of the children at the Sakamoto house-- small; hardly large enough to carry a sword like him and certainly of no use to him but with plenty of potential in the future, )
