Age Changing Meme!

Because the child-unfriendly streets of the colony are clearly the best places for children right
SURPRISE! You are not the age you were before! Are you older? Younger? Do you remember being the way you were before, or has it always been this way? Did CERES mess up the coding again?
Want to play out a game AU of tiny babies running amok on the streets? Old geezers telling everyone to get off their lawn? Anything in-between? Go nuts and have fun!!
Meme taken from here!
adolf reinhardt [ tiny infant edition ]
if anything, the kid looks a little scared— what did he do wrong, this time? why did they put him here? where is 'here'?
he's not really supposed to be out without his supervisor's permission, so after a long while staring down at his feet, he'll walk over to the nearest person and speak up very quietly: ]
...Do you know where Professor Bellwood is?
(( ooc; or, you know, do whatever!! wildcard it up, i'm game for anything. ♥
responses will come from
picks babby adolf up 5ever
She's not really used to people speaking up to her either, especially not children, so at first she just stares in confusion.
Looks around... Nope, definitely talking to her. Weird. Well, she likes kids! She just doesn't have much experience with human ones, so she leans down slightly and tilts her head.]
You are lost? I do not know anyone by such name. But there is building near with professors. [She knows there's a school and all so maybe he needs a teacher...??] Will he be there?
drops him into the ocean
The little kiddo visibly deflates for a second, looking down again to where his bare feet meet the ground. His communication skills were even poorer back then, proven by his long silences and his reluctance to open his mouth. ]
'She'...
[ He corrects, but trails off. ]
...Have there been any announcements? About Number S1042 gone missing...
oona will maybe not drown him. maybe.
Have not heard anything. You are... S1042? [She wrinkles her nose somewhat.] That is not good name. You have another, yes? A real name?
[While she doesn't have the pieces to put together here, she still has a bad feeling. Anyone that goes by a number instead of a name at first screams at her that this is some fucked-up human bullshit and her thoughts flashback to the scientists and experiments.
God she hopes she's wrong.]
ah good… resorts to phonetagging to find out
I'm not allowed. Sorry.
[ that's his quick explanation, before he scuffs a short line on the ground with his toe, offers his name with flat disinterest- as if it feels strange. ]
My name is Adolf. Adolf Reinhardt…
omg.. .freshy pls?? 1/3
[Wait.]
2/3
Did he say Adolf Reinhardt. Did he really.]

She really doesn't know how to react to this, and it's only by a thin reminder screaming in her head that this is a child and shrieking probably wouldn't end well at all that Oona is keeping herself from, well, doing just that.]
Adolf!? [but she still can't keep the shock out of her voice as she blurts out an echo of his name.
Wait quick follow up with something so he doesn't get too weirded out--] You are so small!
[Nailed it.]

He isn't sure what to make of what she's saying to him— of course he's small, he's a child— and with his hands gripping the fabric of his gown, he shakes his head. ]
The experiment didn't make me bigger.
[ Because surely that's what she's referring to, right... As much as Professor Bellwood makes him uncomfortable sometimes (most times), she would be a welcome help right now. ]
I'm sorry. I don't know you.

Her brow furrows slightly, a brief expression of hurt, before she tells herself it makes sense he wouldn't know her. They didn't meet as children, after all, so there's no reason for him to have memories of her.]
Hmm, you can call me 'Oona.' [She extends her free hand to shake] I am a friend-- or, I would like to be. You should enjoy this freedom you have while it lasts, yes? Perhaps it is best to think of it as, eh... reward? For good behavior? [She hates herself for even uttering those lines, not wanting to play along with anything that brushes that close to her own past. But she's not sure what this place has done to make Adolf small again, if it'll last or how long. Nor does she know how well he might take the sudden realization that he isn't supposed to be small.
She'll play it by ear, for now.]

...If it won't last, then it's better to stay here and wait for the Professor.
[ Flatly, so flatly. It's not the sort of thing a small child would say, but. Well. Adolf will be Adolf. He looks up at Oona, though, and folds his hands in front of himself to buy some time. ]
Thank you. For offering.

It is important to have fun and enjoy things when you are young. Otherwise, will grow up to be grumpy and never show emotions and be sarcastic. [Starting to get into weird specifics here Oona, pull it back.]
And it is fun, to do things you are not supposed to, even when no one will ever know.

—but it's easier for him if he listens to her, even if the looming possibility of this kind woman getting punished for this is a dark cloud. What a gloomy child... ]
I don't want you to get in trouble.
[ He says, very sensibly, but he also plods on over a little closer. ] But I think it'll be fine. As long as I go back to the lab by tomorrow.

Are you hungry? Suppose should have something other than candy, even though candy is very tasty. What do you want to eat? Can have anything!
[She is going to spoil him rotten if it's the last thing she does...!]

...?
[The seven year old shakes his head. The only professors he knew were... ]
Is he a Hunter?
no subject
The fact that people don't seem to know is disorienting, but he shakes his head and tries to keep himself as firmly planted in the ground, into reality, as possible. ]
No, she's... a doctor. With a ponytail.
[ That's all he can really say about her, so he stops midway. ]
It's fine if you don't know.
no subject
[She was the only doctor with a pony tail the young boy knew.]
She's at the school.

[ Sensei...? He tips his head to the side, curious but also detached. ]
Do you go to school?
no subject
Do you?
