Rei has some pretty odd feelings about Edgeworth. He left a favorable impression at first, with his help in the sword shop, but nearly ruined it at the ball with his glaring. But backing off? That actually turned things around. Because he wasn't treating her like a child, he was just checking on the legality of things. That much, at least, Rei can understand in a lawyer.
All in all the sense she gets from him is a very positive one. She likes people with uncompromising morals, something she prides herself on. Rei doesn't know a whole lot about him, but that rock-solid sense of self is something she can definitely spot a mile away. She'd like to get to know him better, because he's definitely an adult she thinks she can respect and trust with...some...things. Maybe not the whole magical girl princess thing, but that's kind of a closely guarded secret.
Beyond that, she thinks his sense of fashion is actually pretty alright. Ruffles aren't that weird to a rich girl from 90s Tokyo, after all.
