Actually, much like Ai, not much has changed since the last tl;cr meme! Except of course, the Athena's levels of affection have boosted by crazy amounts for Ryuko.

Though the whole relationship thing with Nonon does make her jealous, not because she has a crush on Ryuko or anything, but because she's afraid that the Ryuko she knows and loves might disappear before her very eyes. Athena isn't possessive by any means, but she's just very careful with her friends in that she doesn't want to sever any ties. She's just about had enough of not having friends growing up, or her friends going away, so she'd rather not experience the same thing with Ryuko. Especially with how Nonon can be so noisy and arrogant, it really worries her, but it's definitely not something she would ever breathe a soul to.

Ryuko getting arrested was definitely a big thing, and there were many sleepless nights wherein Athena tried finding loopholes in the CERES lack of laws to get her out. Simon going to prison was a big thing for her when she was so young, and having her best friend get arrested again now that she's older - it really did some damage. But it's her other friends that basically kept her standing and the fact that she could visit Ryuko that made her feel slightly better. Still, it's a wound that will need time to heal, and it's already begun now that she's reunited with her bestie and little sister-ish.
