Blackquill respects Rei; he can't really relate to most of the teenagers in Cerealia, but Rei is one of the few that he does. She's a stickler for tradition in the same way than he is, and she's serious and dutiful beyond her years. (IF ONLY HE KNEW...) Aside from on a personal level, he likes her because she's kind to Athena, and genuinely cares about her. Athena used to be very withdrawn when she was younger, so he secretly appreciates anyone who's a good friend to her. (◡‿◡✿)

...He'll probably never say as much, though, because he's the worst for talking about feelings.

She also appreciates Taka, which is always a plus for him!!
