Sane sword.... Sousei appreciates Kousetsu's company quite a lot honestly. Considering the Kumou household, Kousetsu is a breath of calm, sensible fresh air. Sousei knows that no matter what, he can always depend on Kousetsu to be another sane presence in the household, even if not necessarily the most vocal about it. It's okay. Just having his presence is enough.
That aside, he does think that Kousetsu is a good person, if also, you know, a sword. So he has the same concerns that he has for all of the swords re: considering themselves human and trying to live their lives and not letting other people tell them what to do. He really wants to be certain that Kousetsu is doing what he himself wants to be doing, and not letting other people boss him around.
Hence bringing home plants. You're allowed to have your own space, Kousetsu, it's fine!!!
Sousei is concerned about him re: souza, so his main concern right now is making sure that Kousetsu knows that it's okay for him to have Emotions of that and anything else. It's okay to Feel Things, Kousetsu. Really. It's fine. So Sousei will be keeping a close eye on him to make sure that he stays okay.
