Yo.

OKAY so Rei. Rei has left quite an impression on the tiny Hamada because she looks pretty normal and yet she has fire powers? That's so cool? He's not entirely sure he buys that it's only her and he wants to ask her all the questions in the world but he definitely likes her well enough. She's nice and she's been here a while which makes things a little easier. She also treats him almost like a pint-sized adult which helps. People are still sort of a mystery to him but he's absolutely interested in following up with her and getting to know her a little better the longer they're in the colony.

Also though he doesn't know Rei is Mars, he idolizes Mars a little. Just a little. Flaming. Arrows.

ZACK. BUDDY. ARE YOU GONNA BE OKAY? HE HAS SOME CONCERNS. In all seriousness Zack brought up a great question that Hiro hadn't thought of himself which automatically slates him for being somebody he wants to follow up with in the future. Also y'know. Heroes gotta stick together.

They do say first impressions counts. Hiro on Sayo?

Sayo is still a mystery to Hiro and like most mysteries it's one Hiro wants to solve. He seems pretty okay to Hiro so far and he puts up with a lot of Hiro's questioning which is a plus. He's also someone Tadashi knows which helps more than Hiro will admit. He's probably going to take it upon himself to check in with Sayo and see how things are, make sure he's okay, etc before trying to ask more questions. Sorry Sayo. His curiosity's been activated.

And the fact that Baymax didn't pick up a solid reading will also make him curious but right now he's just assuming Baymax was malfunctioning. Nbd.

Okok...

Athena is automatically okay in Hiro's book because she understands robots and showed him the mood matrix and it was really cool? Also the fact that she offered him some pretty good information for little exchange helps. He finds her interesting enough if a bit overenthusiastic about things, though he did worry slightly at how she reacted to the Nexus. That's not good. He doesn't know her very well yet but he thinks he might like to, especially if she's been in Cerealia for a while.

Tadashi...haha cries for a while. OKAY SO. TADASHI. God. Even though he's been in Cerealia for a few weeks by now he's still mildly paranoid he's going to wake up and Tadashi's going to be gone. Coming into ViViD and seeing Tadashi seriously threw him for a loop. Knowing that he and Tadashi used to be here, too, on another occasion is something else that bothers him.

For the most part he's settling into being glad Tadashi's around even if he has a lot of other mixed emotions going on. A lot of things have changed and so trying to slide Tadashi back into his life is a little complicated and he's not sure how to handle it. Instead of handling it properly, he's just aggressively hero-ing and trying to protect his brother from everything. He's not sure what he'd do if he lost Tadashi again so soon after what happened at home and so he's continually hovering and monitoring which he knows isn't healthy.

On the other hand, he's allowing normalcy to slide back into their relationship with building things for the colony, living together, etc. Eventually he'll give Tadashi his bed back but he'll probably still want to stick around on the couch for a little longer. He knows it's probably just as strange (if not more so) for Tadashi to have him here because Hiro's aware he's changed since everything at home. But he's happy to have him around and fall into their normal routine and have that support back. He's trying to be equally supportive but isn't entirely sure how...so instead he's just being bratty as usual.

A large part of him feels unsettled and a little guilty that he hasn't told Tadashi everything, but he's holding out for the right time so he doesn't make things worse/upset Tadashi/potentially hoping it just won't be an issue which is terrible but again, it's not like Hiro's dealing with this in an entirely healthy manner. It's a little awkward for him to talk to people about Tadashi and withhold the fact that he's dead back home, but he's obtained a little more self-awareness how awkward everything must be for Tadashi.

Either way, Hamada brothers stick together so he's determined to make things work out just fine without a lot of freaking out or weirdness.

So Saiduq immediately piqued his interests because of his wires and Hiro's still very much "???" about him. He doesn't quite understand what or who he is or how these things happen, but he finds that he oddly respects him enough not to immediately barrage him with questions. He finds that he likes that Saiduq basically lets Hiro do his own thing but casually advises him on other alternatives and the most important thing is that he makes Hiro think. That's always important and he's going to keep tabs on him to make sure he has time to ask more questions and find out what his real story is. He's nosy, sorry about him.

OKAY Ruby Rose is somebody Hiro is very fascinated with suddenly because not only is she pretty cool she makes her own weapons and knows how to use them. That's awesome. That's totally awesome and he can tell that they have similar mannerisms and ideals and that immediately draws him to her. It doesn't hurt that she knows Tadashi and Tadashi thinks she's pretty okay, too. He's definitely going to come back to her and make sure storytime happens because seriously, Ruby, tell him all about being a hunter please and thank you.

And it also helps that she realizes how cool Baymax and his armor are. Those are important factors.

Sup actual fun nerd

Hello old man winter. Hiro finds Jack to be equal parts awesome and frustrating! He's still having a time wrapping his head around Jack being the winter spirit and a Guardian but at the same time he figures there are weirder things to come out of Cerealia. For the most part even when Jack's teasing him he likes him enough that he can tolerate it and he's not afraid to sass back whenever Jack starts sassing him. He also feels like he can trust him already and maybe that Jack is like him and could just use another friend.

Hiro's thoughts on Terra? (Please don't be too traumatised from the raid... ;o;)

Even prior to the raid he was piqued by Terra and actually liked talking to him! He likes the fact that Terra just sort of accepted what Hiro had to say and that he had a determination about him that Hiro tends to look toward in people. Overall he seems like a pretty okay dude and and considering the fact that the conversation didn't end poorly that just adds points.

POST-RAID THO. You can bet he's going to check on Terra and be like "bro are you okay please say you're okay IM SORRY WE COULDNT STOP YOU FROM BEING SHOT?" and ask Baymax to scan him like six times.

Mary is so adorable and sweet and kinda weird that Hiro's not entirely sure what to do with her! He thinks she's very nice and needs to be protected at all cost and would consider them to be friends. He knows Cerealia's a weird and scary world and he doesn't like that someone like her is being run through the ringer of everything that happens here. With that said he's going to make sure that she stays protected and as he starts trusting her more he'll start reaching out on his own, too. It occurs to him that he doesn't know a lot about her but he's hoping to change that sooner or later.

Tadashi's teaching her how to make hot wings for you, bro, best prepare.
