Larry continues to be amazed and astounded at how his bff manages to keep finding these amazing and cute assistants!!

Silliness aside though, Larry thinks Athena is really cool! She's peppy, completely understands that bright colors are awesome, and she has a great sense of humor. Overall, she has this casual nature to her that he doesn't always get around his other law-focused buds that he appreciates a lot. He enjoys being able to talk to her about totally silly things that Nick and Edgeworth would never tolerate, plus she's from the future so they have that going for them conversation-wise too. Sharing stories from the past and future is a fun practice! He'd like to hear some stories about Athena's cases someday, because he really wonders what kind of whacky law adventures she's gotten into working alongside Phoenix.

TL;DR Athena's the chillest lawyer he's met yet please don't tell his bffs and he hopes to chill with her more in the future! ~~On a personal note I'm gonna laugh so hard when he meets Simon and finds out they know each other.~~

It's really quite something for Larry to find someone who reminds him so much of himself when he was a teen. That's probably why he finds Leon so easy to talk to and get along with. Not only does Leon understand the importance of dating, in general he seems to get Larry! Their priorities are pretty much on similar levels, and they both have a excitable and easygoing personalities...for the most part anyway. They show their emotions easily, basically. And they're creative dudes! Larry with his art and Leon with his punk rock (ohhh boy). It's weird and Larry doesn't know how exactly to explain it, but even though he's only known Leon for a month or two, he doesn't have a lot of trouble talking to him about well, anything really. Maybe he kinda views Leon as a younger sibling? Maybe their first encounter and how Leon totally saved his butt with the weird camera stuff had a lot to do with it too. Either way, let's hang out and talk about girls and maybe less dark shit sometime Leon.

If only they knew how similar they are in other regards though, dang. ~~Being on trial for murder is hard man~~.

Sup, Larry. Thoughts so far on Sayo?

Larry doesn't even deal with kids a lot and yet Sayo is this complete anomaly in his life that he constantly doesn't know how to deal with for totally different reasons. He thinks Sayo's really cool for being y'know, a sword kid, plus Sayo's got to be the calmest kid he's ever come across. But it's that calmness and overall kind of...melancholy vibe that Sayo gives that confuses Larry. It's different than Kousetsu's calmness, for instance. Larry just doesn't expect it from a kid, you know? A lot of it he chalks up to culture shock on Sayo's part since this is a totally different world for him, but Larry can't shake the feeling that there's a lot he doesn't know about Sayo yet. Being a sword kid may be cool, but maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be either.

Still, he's happy to know Sayo and for sure wouldn't mind hanging around him or his bro some more!

Larry's thoughts on sad sword.

Sad sword? More like chillest lineface bro sword. Seriously though, Larry will have some catching up to do on the sad part of the Samonjis ~~which I am aiming to get in motion once I tag Kousetsu's post~~.

What he does know so far though, is that Kousetsu was one of the very first people he met in Cerealia! Okay he knows more than that, but that first bit is pretty significant. They started their Cereal adventure together in a way, so Larry likes checking back in with Kousetsu to see how he's adapting. He of course, did think Kousetsu was a little crazy at first with the whole sword thing, but over time it's become a totally normal thing as far as Larry's concerned. The concept's so bizarre, and yet really cool now that he knows it's legit. Unfortunately, he's ignorant on how terrible it can also be for the swords themselves.

They really do make a strange pair if you picture them chatting each other up, though. Larry's so high-energy and Kousetsu has his constant aura of calmness and seriousness. Yet Kousetsu seems to have a ton of patience to put up with Larry, and Larry trucks on despite not exactly knowing how to deal with Kousetsu's aura of calm. What Larry does like though, is that he never feels judged by Kousetsu because of that general calmness. That's something he doesn't get very often, if at all, from most other people he knows. There's something special about that honestly, and he's come to think he might be able to confide in Kousetsu should he ever need to. And he's more than happy to keep helping Kousetsu on modern age-related stuff too!

There's no denying that Larry's always going to feel weird about Phoenix suddenly being way older than him. He knows Phoenix has gone through a lot - he's even a dad now, that's a huge thing! - and he can tell that he's also changed in a way because of the things he's gone through. He feels this sort of rift that friends might feel if they've been out of touch for many years, even though it's not exactly the case but time shenanigans. Plus, that rift has probably been around longer than he realizes, honestly. Still though, he feels like there's suddenly a lot he doesn't know about his best friend and it bothers him. He often wonders if Phoenix will ever tell him everything that's gone down in the future he's from.

Despite the time difference between them now, Larry's always going to see Phoenix as his best friend. How can he not? Phoenix has been by his side for basically forever, and he practically saved his life in court once! They took on Von Karma to save Edgeworth! They've been through a lot, and no matter how crappy things get for Larry, he feels like he's at least got Phoenix and Edgeworth as a constant in his rocky life. He just wishes that Phoenix would lighten up! Like, a lot! Even when they were only a year apart, Phoenix had this problem of always being too serious and never wanting to just chill! He figures it's a lawyer thing, but still! Please have some fun every now and then, Nick! Unfortunately, Larry's only just starting to get a small inkling that he's the reason why Phoenix has become a little hard on him over the years. He knows he can be a bit of a pain because of the situations he falls into, but he hasn't yet realized that he's a genuine nuisance to his friends. Being the Butz just can't be helped, okay!!

TL;DR if Phoenix ever uses a dad joke in Larry's vicinity he will officially become the most unhip bff, like lower than Edgeworth. AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING.

WHEN SOMETHING SMELLS

Larry's feelings about Maya haven't changed much from how they were in canon, but he definitely feels weird for having had a little crush on her now that time shenanigans have them pretty far apart in age. That doesn't mean he doesn't still see her as a friend though, 'cause Maya's great! She's the perfect balance of fun and funny...whatever that means. She's just got this air of casual simplicity about her. There's the simplicity, yet she's got this super cool power to summon ghosts or something!! Let's be real though, maybe people who are constantly on trial/framed for murder are just drawn to each other by some mysterious force. That's how he sees it, anyway.
