I mean, Athena took away his first!!! First time of bitching about his past to someone willingly. Stop being totally lewd, Athena. Still, it was an almost comforting thing. Archer is still a jerkwipe but at least he's a little more of a more accommodating jerk and if anyone notices any change, he'll just point at Athena. After all, it was her hard work and suffering that brought about any bit of change in him.

Athena is still on his most important person list, along with Rin. And Rin. Yeah, Archer doesn't have many people on that list, he still kind of sucks. I guess if Athena wanted something to brag about, it's that.

He'll keep trying, at least. The one thing he won't give up ever is his Athena funded restaurant stand thing. Even if it does have a bad name. He won't change that either no matter what! Mostly because he sees that as an investment in himself and no matter how bad he might get, he'll cling to that as hard as he can. Because having pals can be okay, maybe.

Archer on this one?

Archer doesn't even know how to feel.

On one hand, he certainly gives Rei the respect he feels she deserves. Though, that doesn't make leave her immune to his barbs and sometimes nasty attitude. But it at least affords her plenty of time of being on speaking terms from him and complete honesty. He doesn't feel the need to run around too much with half-truths since he's pretty sure she can handle the truth and not act like a fool with it. Because, believe him, people can certainly be fools.

On the opposite side of things, she is sometimes just too much. He doesn't like the idealism or unbridled knowledge that victory or helping others is always in hand. Nothing really rankles him more than that so Rei really gets hit a bit harder with his attitude than people like Athena.

But, in the end, 'friend' is probably the word he'd use to describe her. Even if he has the toughest time showing that off.
