Hawke : Sousei

Hawke, Hawke, Hawke.... god, Sousei didn't know how to feel about Hawke for a really long time. At first she was just this sassy lady who was obviously pretty competent but hid a lot of it behind her snide front, but he didn't really know why or for what reason, and he also wasn't really that interested in finding out. Sousei doesn't really get interested in people that easily, and while Hawke caught his attention for being a reasonably competent adult, her attitude honestly put him off. He doesn't need more sassy snarky people in his life to make fun of him more, thanks.

But then they kept running into each other. He knows she's been testing him; it amuses him a little, honestly. He'll let her test him. He'll let her ask him about his opinions and try to get a read on him. He doesn't mind waiting to ask her about her own if she's so intent on trying to figure him out. Sousei's kind of a little shit and he knows that he's hard to read at times, so her trying to figure him out based on his opinions about things instead of just assuming things about him was kind of refreshing.

Of course, she kind of ended up learning too much. He's not happy that she saw him at his lowest when Tenka was gone, though he does appreciate how she approached him after. Helping him take his mind off of things with brawls was odd but something that did end up suiting him. They could beat each other up, distinctly not talk about feelings, and he would be tired enough to be able to not think about Tenka being gone for awhile. So his estimation of her went up a bit more from that, and he does consider her someone he could probably think of as a friend if they were to talk more (and Sousei doesn't really have friends???? so that says a lot. Milla is his friend and that's about it).

He wants to start to learn more about her now, because now he's intrigued. Why does she try to pretend to not be competent? Why does she hide everything with sass? She figured out a lot about him because she's perceptive, but Sousei is too; he's learned a lot about her too, and he's curious to see what he can pry out of her from here on out. But now it's less of just...plain curiosity and more a simple concern for her. She's seen and dealt with Some Shit. He'd like to know what and how, so he can figure out whether or not she actually needs help.

But yeah no he's still not going to be a companion, you will get no companion quests out of him :V
